Yesterday I did some more change prep and meditated on the Ellipsoid Orb, albeit without the normal fanaticism, as my broncos were on the sabbatical of bye.  I’m current with replies.  Today, I take my computer to that shop to have the files moved to the new computer, which will be delivered  tomorrow afternoon.  I will therefore be offline.  Getting it configured when it arrives will take a second day, at least, so please expect no more articles from me until shortly after midnight Thursday, if things go smoothly, or Friday, if I have complications.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today it took me 4:43 (average 5:02).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From Maria: A Koch Brothers Tribute

Most deserving!

From Business Week: Military force shouldn’t be ruled out as a response to an Iranian assassination plot on U.S. soil, the top House Republican on intelligence issues said.

“I don’t think you should take it off the table,” said Representative Mike Rogers, the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, said on ABC’s “This Week.”

I can almost hear John McCain, aka McConJob, singing Bomb, Bomb, Iran.

From Oregon Public Broadcasting: Two protest groups converged in downtown Portland yesterday to protest the war in Afghanistan.

Anti-war organizers joined forces with Occupy Portland, a group that’s been camped out in neighboring downtown parks for  over a week, protesting corporate influence in politics.

The march picked up steam, adding hundreds of people who haven’t been staying at the downtown protest site this week.

Peace and freedom are natural allies.

    I love the song!

I would guess that Merrill Lynch is not bullish on America.

  2. 5:08  Good time Patty.  You smashed both TomCat and me.  I am 91 out of 290 (314).

  3. Love the song! So very fitting!

  4. Puzzle — Ok, my time sucked on this one so I chose another — Parliament Ottawa — average time 6:23 my time 5:44!  Must be a Canadian thing, eh!

A Koch Brothers Tribute — outstanding!!!!  I love it!    Too bad Republicans have been snorting Koch.  It is so addictive and oh so not good for anyone!  And what’s worse, I doubt it is covered under medical insurance.

Iran — Why is the Republican answer to everything ‘Bomb! Bomb! Bomb!?  It would not surprise me if it was learned that the military industrial complex was already hard at work trying to foment unrest in the Middle East, particularly with Iran, now that all troops are being pulled from Iraq, and Afghanistan is next on the block for troop withdrawals.  Have to keep those profits up!  And another concern, what if Iran is further along building a nuclear bomb than anyone realises?  If the US responds militarily on Iranian soil, will Iran respond with a nuclear bomb pointed at New York or Washington?  I have several Iranian friends and they left Iran because of the politics.  The US cannot play into these dramas.  Investigate this latest incident thoroughly without interference from powerful lobbys and government agencies/committees.  Prove conclusively that the Iranian government was involved.  Use the rule of law to convict and imprison.  Through the UN, use sanctions.  Do not use the rule of gun.  That will only succeed in getting everyone killed.

Portland — Peace and freedom are natural allies.”  Amen! Amen! AMEN!!!!!

Cartoon — The bull is dead.  Long live the people!!!!!  Well maybe not quite, but the 98% will wrought change in our world because it is grassroots and global!

  5. Thanks everyone
