Yesterday, as I was about to leave to the denturist’s office, I discovered that my wallet was not in my pants pocket.  I cancelled my denturist appointment and searched for three hours.  It is lost, and I’m jumping to replace my ID Card (license for one who does not drive), credit and debit card, etc.  ARGH!   I feel so frustrated I could scream.  I ran around all day yesterday and feel totally wiped out, but I am current on replies to comments to yesterday’s article.  Today the running continues instead of volunteering at the prison.  Even though they know me well, without a photo ID, I cannot be admitted.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today it took me 4:05 (average 5:12).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From Washington Post: House Republicans sought to put their stamp on U.S. foreign policy Wednesday by advancing a bill that would slash federal payments to the United Nations and other international bodies and slap restrictions on aid to Pakistan, Egypt and others.

Republicans hate the UN.  It interferes with wars for oil and conquest.

From Right Wing Watch: On his radio program today, Bryan Fischer seized upon a story out of Vermont regarding a couple that is suing an inn for refusing to host their wedding reception because they were lesbians to declare that gay rights and religious liberty cannot coexist.

Republicans believe in equal rights for Republicans only.

From Voice of America: U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says the Burma government’s human rights record “continues to be deplorable,” and calls on India to encourage Burmese authorities to engage in dialogue with pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi.

Clinton, speaking Wednesday in India, also urged New Delhi to press the nominally civilian Burmese government to begin releasing political prisoners jailed over more than four decades of military rule.

This would be more credible if the US would cancel the exception from the US trade embargo against Myanmar for Exxon Mobile.  Myanmar’s deal with Condi’s company (they even have a tanker named after her) provides their government most of the revenue that enables them to ignore their people.

Gaaaaa! One time I looked three hours for my car keys. They were in my front door lock, on the inside, where I put them the night before! So I wouldn’t forget them! 👿

  2. 5:27 That stinks!

I remember my parents were going nuts looking for their checkbook. They found it in the freezer. I guess they wanted some cold hard cash.

  3. 4:32 You are back in fine form. I am 65 out of 202 (322).

It is really a pain when you lose something like your wallet. Everything can be replaced, but it is just a big hassle. If you are lucky, someone will find it and return it, or maybe it will turn up in the one place in your home that you did not look. That happened to my wife. She recently found her wedding ring that she lost about 2 years ago.

  4. Looks like our TomCat is feeling better. I’m glad.

  5. I actually got mugged at gunpoint some years back and had my wallet stolen – so I have a pretty good idea of the hassles you’re going through. Hope it turns up for you somewhere, sometime – just for the peace of mind.

Glad to see our TomCat is feeling better. Today I took my 5 month old kitten in to the vets because he’s slowed way down on his eating. He, too, had his temperature taken – but was NOT as lucky as your cartoon cat on location of the temp probe. (Vet said he’s fine, just watch him.)

  6. First, I’m glad you are feeling better. Nothing sucks worse than losing your wallet – re-tracing your steps, looking EVERYWHERE and then after you replace all your shit, you find it on the counter or some other stupid ass place. I’d check the bathroom again, since you’ve been spending a lot of time in there. 😉

If Repubs could abolish the UN, they would. That’s why they sent Bolten over there.

First of all asshole there is no “homosexual agenda” – they just want equal rights like everyone else. Secondly, I would be SO happy if they religious nut cases would back the fuck off. 😡

Your suggestion would be a good start and take away revenue from the Burmese. She should have added that in there and Exxon Mobil should pull out on humanitarian grounds, but then they’d lose a couple of dollars off the bottom line – we can’t have that now can we?

Cat’s freak out when they go to the vet – some kind of demon spirit takes over them. Although Katie, my dog, gets freaked out if she’s not within 10 feet of me so who am I to talk? 😆
