The Senate will soon release a new report that shows how Russia hoodwinked progressives into helping Putin’s Puppet, Donald Trump, take the White House. The Russian trolls and intelligence operatives waged a massive propaganda campaign on social media to build left wing support for American traitor and pseudo-Green, Jill Stein. She was a willing participant in this effort by her friend, Vladimir Putin [R-RU]. Progressives must never again allow their idealism to be used to help hand an election to the Republican Reich.
According to a report from NBC, Russian operatives gave a big boost to Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein just before the 2016 election to draw away voters from Democrat Hillary Clinton and boost Donald Trump’s chances of winning the presidency.
NBC claims a report compiled by the Senate shows Stein was the subject of a social media blitz designed to raise her profile and create a better playing field for eventual winner Trump.
“Building support for Stein was one of a ‘roster of themes’ the Moscow-sanctioned internet trolls ‘turned to repeatedly’ in their effort to disrupt the election, according to a research team led by the New Knowledge cybersecurity firm,” the report states. “The researchers also found that the campaign to bolster Stein gained in intensity in the final days of the presidential campaign and largely targeted African-American voters.”
Stein has repeatedly denied getting any help from the Russians despite questions about her appearance in Russia at a conference where she was seated at a table with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to NBC: “An analysis found that Russians working under the direction of the Internet Research Agency, the St. Petersburg-based firm run by a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, tweeted the phrase ‘Jill Stein”’over 1,000 times around the time of the election.”…

As for Stein herself, she was a living spokes-person for Russian propaganda over and over again on Putin’s propaganda network, RT. She knew what she was doing and who would benefit, making her a collaborator in an espionage attack against the US.
Note how the reporter talked about Stein’s upticks in key states. He is right. It’s very hard to tell exactly what effects this particular espionage campaign caused, but I can tell you this. If the Stein voters in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin had voted Democratic instead, Trump would not be in the White House. As much as many progressives dislike Hillary, we would be far better off complaining about her than suffering under Trump’s Republican Reich.
We progressives need to decide with our heads. Because many decided with their hearts, they voted with their sphincters. NEVER AGAIN!

If she hadn’t appeared multiple times on RT, I would have been willing to give her the benefit of the doubt that she was a “useful idiot” (heaven knows she’s the latter.) But no. Not now.
It may be even worse, because longer lasting, that her closeness to Russia, as it comes out, will lend credence to the lie that “communism” is in any way “on the left.” Of course, nowadays, Russia is NEITHER “communist” NOR “on the left.” But that won’t stop the brainwashers, nor will it penetrate to any of the brainwashed.
Of course she appeared on RT, the MSM networks give alternate party candidates no air time so where else can they go to be seen? She also appeared on Aljazeera so I guess she is a Muslim terrorist? Stations like RT or teleSUR have so few US viewers just how much impact could they have? It was the people who stayed home because Clinton could not excite the base that swung the election not people using their constitutional right to vote for the candidate of their choice.
Welcome Sumo. Al Jazeera is not a terrorist network. RT is a propaganda network. Stein would not have gotten coverage there either, were she not willing to parrot. Russian propaganda. I do not claim that the people, who she duped into voting for her, were the only reason Trump won. She was one reason, without whom, Trump would not have won.
As if I didn’t feel enough guilt for supporting this ding-a-ling! I definitely couldn’t vote for tRump – but even holding my nose I couldn’t vote for Clinton, Sanders wasn’t on the ballot, and I’ve had it with Libertarians.
Sadly, as Joanne so well indicates, too many of, even, if you will, our fellow progressives, are as dumb as some of the Faux News fools. I know of at least one progressive who is still proudly proclaiming a vote for Stein! I clearly recall the “Anyone but Hillary!” exclamations.

Even before it became clear that Jill Stein was a hand puppet in Putin’s game, she had shown herself one of the most untrustworthy politicians around, hiding her huge ego behind a Green façade. I shall never forget how she had entered the building where the Democrats were holding their convention and at that point making their disastrous choice between Hillary and Bernie and awaited the distraught Bernie followers after he conceded his defeat and urged his followers to vote for Hillary instead. Those that couldn’t deal with it, left the hall and were met in the dark staircase by Jill and some of her acolytes who tried to make them join the Greens. It was a low even Drumpf has trouble to equal, and it has cost Green parties their reputation all over the world.
Which is a pity … because Green Parties all overt he world have disowned our Green Party (for good reason).
I’m all for the Green Party in parliamentary systems that are not “first past the post”.

Welcome Ed. You seem to be implying that progressives are too lazy to work. I’m a progressive, and I worked or was in school continuously from age 13 until I was disabled at age 62. I still spend several hours daily working on this site and working as a volunteer. All the staff here are are working or retired. It seem s that your rationale is flawed. Are you getting your info from Faux Noise?
