It’s a busy and painful weekend here in the CatBox. Everyone loved the feast, especially Oh and Shit. The other residents thoroughly enjoyed them. On the downside, spending several hours in my chair was far more than my back could handle. We took pictures, and I shall share them with you after they have been approved by Ivy Court. Please pray for Republication and pain relief.

It’s a tired, painful day here in the CatBox. Yesterday, WWWendy and I did some computer work and the excessive heat (82° F) kept me from getting decent rest. Today we are having our special BBQ ribs feast for the residents, the staff, ‘Oh’, and ‘Shit’. Sunday they are increasing my Methadone another 10%. I insisted on waiting until after the feast, so I don’t sleep through it. Please pray that both the feast and the methadone increase is successful.

It’s a crappy painful day here in the CatBox. Yesterday I Republicated a BIG messy load and did again this morning. WWWendy is bringing 5 BIG packages of BBQ ribs I’m buying to treat the residents and staff here to a special mid-day dinner. WWWendy will be bring her two Shiatsu dawgs, who I call ‘Oh’ and ‘Shit’ to chew the bones. I’m sure they will love the attention. Climbing onto the toilet to Republicate twice has exacerbated my back pain severely.

It’s a tired, painful day here in the CatBox. This morning I Republicated Big Time. Late this afternoon I fell asleep instead of taking my Oxycodone dose and was in considerable pain, by the time I awakened. Now that I’m getting used to this level of methadone, it’s clear that I need to increase it again. Please pray that I can stabilize both my pain and Republication levels.

It’s a tired, painful, Republicitis day here in the CatBox. The Providence Hospice Nurse came here and suggested an increase in Methadone and a med for anxiety. I chewed her butt pretty thoroughly, and explained that there would have been no anxiety, if she had not screwed up my meds TWICE and that to suggest medicating me because she fell short in the performance of her job is absurd, if not devious. We will be following my treatment plan. Wendy gave me a shower. It felt wonderful, but exacerbated my pain, because its so much work for me. I also have severe Republicitis and am loaded with laxatives. Please pray that I Republicate and have a decrease in pain.

PHP is a programming language used to build websites. We have it at all through our hosting partner, BlueHost. In order to update it, we have to go through Bluehost. During his life, TomCat was the only one who had access to our account there. I (JD) am now the only one. I have been to BlueHost and investigated updating our PHP to 8.3 or even to 8.1. I found instructions to do so - in fact, I found two conflicting sets of instructions. I went through one set of the steps and got the message that Our site could not handle 8.3, but that it had successfully updated to 8.1. I then went back here to see what it looked like. But I couldn't get in - either as an administrator or as a reader. It was just gone. I had to reach BlueHost by phone. It was determined that Politics Plus is in fact not compatible with any version of PHP newer than the one we have. BlueHost therefore uninstalled it for me, and the site came back to normal. Of course, like everyone else, I care about security. But I also am aware that TomCat elected to use different providers for several of the services that BlueHost provides, for instance backups. We are backed up daily - but not by BlueHost. However, out PHP is through Bluehost. I feel that if they are not worried about the older version, I am not going to worry about it. I believe that our security here is all or mostly through WordFence, whom I trust.
