it’s another busy day here in the CatBox. Store to Door will deliver my groceries late this morning, and I’ll have to unpack and put them away. WWWendy comes this evening to de-stink the rancid TomCat. We have lots of chores to do. Poor Wendy just had another death in her family, a niece (not the one that fills in for her taking care of me). From The Hill: The House Judiciary Committee voted Wednesday to authorize a subpoena to compel the Justice Department to hand over special counsel Robert Mueller’s full report to Congress.

The committee voted 24-17 along party lines to approve a resolution authorizing subpoenas for Mueller’s report, including accompanying exhibits and other attachments, as well as its underlying evidence, at a business meeting Wednesday morning. The resolution also authorizes the committee’s Democratic chairman to subpoena testimony related to the special counsel’s report.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said he would give Attorney General William Barr time to produce the final, unredacted report to Congress before issuing the subpoena, however he did not provide a timeline on when that would happen.

Yesterday would be a good time to issue the subpoena to Barf Bag Barr [R-Trump’s Ass]. RESIST!!

From Washington Post: Pete Buttigieg wants to abolish the electoral college. Sen. Elizabeth Warren hopes to ban gerrymandering. Sen. Cory Booker talks about limiting terms for Supreme Court justices. Beto O’Rourke is weighing an expansion of the high court.

The Democratic presidential hopefuls, prodded by a frustrated base, are pushing fundamental changes to the American political system. Aimed at changing how presidents are chosen and laws are passed, the proposals go beyond typical campaign issues such as health care and taxes to challenge the basic rules of American democracy.

Many of those ideas face long odds against enactment. But the conversation speaks volumes about the state of the Democratic Party in the age of Trump, reflecting a sentiment in the party that the system has stopped working fairly — a grievance once voiced more often by conservatives, including President Trump.

These are all good ideas, and they should be discussed, but they are long term goals that many voters will see as pie in the sky. Without ignoring those issues, we need to put kitchen table issues in the front seat. RESIST!!

Sitting at the breakfast table in the upstairs living quarters of the White House, Melania tells Donald that she had a dream last night. And in her dream, Trump had finally gotten his huge military parade down Pennsylvania Avenue that he has so long pined for.

It was spectacular – celebrated by hundreds of thousands of cheering, flag-waving Americans lining both sides of the avenue and stretching as far as the eye could see.

“I bet I had a huge smile!” Trump exclaimed.

“I couldn’t tell,” Melania replied. “It was a closed casket.”

Here is the one hundred fifty-fifth article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s winner is Trump sycophant, self-proclaimed Nazi, and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. He is so honored losing a lawsuit. He was sued for claiming the Republican murder of Heather Heyer was a staged plot by Democrats to make his Fuhrer look bad and targeting the man that posted the video for Nazi violence. This is his third award. Previous awards in 2013 and 2016 were also for Republican conspiracy theories.

A federal judge ruled Friday that Alex Jones and other online conspiracy peddlers cannot dismiss a defamation suit alleging that they invented damaging smears about a counter-protester at the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally.

“Victims of vile conspiracy theories should take comfort in Judge Moon’s ruling that Brennan Gilmore’s defamation suit against InfoWars must proceed,” Andrew Mendrala, an attorney with Georgetown Law’s Civil Rights Clinic, which helped bring the case, said in a statement. “Today’s decision shows that the law will protect victims of baseless lies by holding people like Alex Jones accountable for the harm they cause.”

Gilmore sued Jones, Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft and several other far-right publishers for falsely labeling him as a “deep state” operative. They claimed that a video he captures and posted online of white supremacist Alex James Fields ramming his car into Heather Heyer was part of an elaborate, staged plot to undermine the Trump administration.

The defendants requested that the lawsuit be thrown out, claiming they were simply exercising their First Amendment right to share theories and opinions about the incident.

But in Friday’s ruling, Judge Norman Moon of Virginia’s Western District agreed with Gilmore that they knowingly published these false stories “with actual malice.”… [emphasis added]

Kudos to Judge Norman Moon, a fair man, and a Clinton appointee. I fear we man need a Parade for a White Supremacist Republican Judge, if this decision is overruled.

Both are equally evil but in somewhat different ways. With Trump, what you see is what you get — a lying, racist, bigoted narcissist, immoral POS. Pence on the other hand is sneakier. He is a pseudo evangelical Christian who hates gays etc and thinks discrimination is just fine because his Bible says God hates gays etc. He would ram his religion down everybody else’s throat. To answer Mitch’s question: Does he live in a religiously delusional world? Absolutely!

Both are dangerous. We can see and hear what a whackjob trump is. His fanclub is terrifying. I can the new “pizzagate” will be maternity floors, OB-GYN offices and there will be no pregnant woman or gynecologist who will be safe. I hope I’m wrong.

Pence is also nuts. His born again doctrine would have women walking on their knees, fifty paces behind men.

They will have no problem seizing all property, including bank accounts, IRAs, investment portfolios, cars, homes etc. if a woman isn’t married or her father isn’t living.

They would have no problem stripping a woman of her job or her voting rights.

Rape would be normal sex.

The evangelicals think they need to “help” bring about the apocalypse because they believe the Book of Revelations and some opium induced nightmare some idiot had.

Their god doesn’t deserve a place at the religious table if he needs those nitwits to bring about anything.

So, yes, it’s pretty frightening to think that these two degenerates along with the republican party have so much power. They are all dangerous.

Drumph is the more evil, because he enjoys hurting people, children included; because he has not got a socially redeeming bone in his fat body; it is hard to be more evil than a Malignant Narcissist, one whose personality consists of sociopathy, narcissism (of course), psychopathy,

and does virtually nothing that is not about defending the emptiness within.

Pence is more difficult to know, from my point of view, because he is much more opaque, perhaps slimy inside, I would not doubt it, but he keeps his sickness hidden, so I can not judge him with any sense of accuracy. Does he live in a religiously delusional world? Apparently. Does he try to remake the world according to his delusional take on it? Apparently, and that is dangerous, not necessarily evil. But, if he should become POTUS, we may then see the level of evil he contains.

I voted that both are equally evil, although if I had to pick one, it would be Pence, because he tries to hide his crimes while Trump brags about his.

Please vote in the new poll, even though it may be month’s before we know how accurate we are.

From Washington Post: The House Judiciary Committee plans to vote Wednesday to authorize subpoenas to obtain the full report of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, escalating a feud with the Justice Department over a lengthy document detailing findings about Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, on Monday announced plans for the panel’s vote, which would take place a day after a deadline the committee set for Attorney General William P. Barr to share the report.

Barr pledged last week to release a redacted version by mid-April, well after Nadler’s deadline. Nadler’s committee is seeking to obtain the “full and complete report,” which spans nearly 400 pages, as well as underlying evidence.

That is exactly what Nadler should do RESIST!!
