It’s almost 6:00 AM here and the temperature at my desk just dropped below 90°. UGH! I’m posti9on this and one other article, but I won’t have time to distribute links, and catching up on comments will depend on what’s up when I return from the doctor. Tomorrow is a prison volunteer day.

From MoveOn: 20 Years Of GOP Strategy In One Little Cartoon

This could not be more accurate!
From NY Times: Did Paul Ryan quote a famous 1960s Black Panther Party slogan in his speech on Saturday announcing his candidacy for vice president on the Republican ticket?
For a moment, it sounded that way. Recalling words of advice offered by his late father, Mr. Ryan said, “I still remember a couple of things he would say that have really stuck with me. ‘Son, you are either part of the problem or part of the solution.’ Regrettably, President Obama has become part of the problem, and Mitt Romney is the solution.”
Give Mr. Ryan credit for making the Republicans’ big tent a little bigger. The slogan “If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem” served as a mantra of sorts for Eldridge Cleaver, the minister of information for the Black Panthers, the extreme black nationalist group. [emphasis added]
That cuts it! Get out your sheets and hoods, Republicans! Willard the Etch and Lyin’ Ryan are Black Panthers! 😉
From Washington Post: President Obama and presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney clashed last week over a federal tax credit for businesses that produce wind and other alternative energy.
In campaign events in Colorado, Obama emphasized his support for extending the tax credit and attacked Romney for opposing the extension, framing his opponent’s stance as a threat to job creation.
Supporting Green Energy is necessary for survival. Romney and Ryan give survival a back seat to even more profit for the world’s richest corporations.
