After getting yesterday’s articles posted and the links distributed, I went out to run several errands and caught up on some much needed sleep. Today I have an echocardiogram. After I leave this morning, I’ll be off caffeine until after tomorrow’s cardiac stress test. ARGH!!! :-(  Depriving me of coffee is like depriving a Republican of Teabuggery! I’m not current on replies to comments. I may be able to catch up when I return, depending on how tired I am.

The best laid plans of mice and men sometimes go awry, and yesterday I could not sleep due to coughing and leg pain.  I also felt just too tired to sleep, which is very frustrating.  So I’m going to put off distributing links one more day, since I have a grocery delivery coming later this morning, but I have this and one other article today, and I am current with replies.  Lets keep our fingers crossed for tomorrow.

When this ad was first aired, Republicans claimed that the Obama campaign had wrongfully accused Romney of murdering this man’s wife. That is another Republican lie. The ad says the opposite, claiming Romney was not aware. That is not murder. Romney had no intent to murder her. His only intent was profit.  Romney killed her in the same way you or I kill an ant on the sidewalk. The man’s wife was not important enough to Romney for him to even know she was there, just like you, me, or 99% of us.

From NY Times: President Obama took on the budget proposals of Mitt Romney and Representative Paul D. Ryan on Saturday, accusing the Republican ticket of seeking to cut trillions of dollars in taxes for the wealthy while raising taxes for the middle class and making deep cuts to programs that would benefit working Americans.

From San Francisco Chronicle: Tight school budgets have meant fewer teachers, larger classes and shorter school years, according to a White House report that President Obama says shows the need for Congress to pass his proposals to help states reduce teacher layoffs.

The study concluded that 300,000 education jobs have been lost since the official end of the recession in 2009 and that student-to-teacher ratios have increased by 4.6 percent from 2008 to 2010 and are on track to grow more.

Republicans do not like public education. Learning how to think interferes with goose-stepping.

It will not make it below 90° at my desk today.  Tomorrow should be slightly cooler.  I had to reschedule my echocardiogram today.  I consider it unsafe to have to walk up a steep hill from the hospital to the bus stop with a bad leg in 100°+ heat.  This is today’s only article.  I intended it for yesterday but, I ran put of gas after researching and before writing.  I am not current with replies and will catch up when I can.  What happens tomorrow depends on whether I get rain with the forecast thunderstorm.

From Media Matters: Last night, newly ensconced Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan sat down for his first solo interview with Fox News’ Brit Hume and let slip an admission about Mitt Romney’s budget plan — an admission that’s receiving surprisingly little press attention. Asked by Hume when the Romney plan would balance the budget, Ryan said he didn’t know because "we haven’t run the numbers on that specific plan." [emphasis added]

They have run the numbers. They refuse to tell us what they are, because they plan to increase the debt with more 1% welfare, while they are claiming to plan to reduce the debt.

Yesterday I was working with about a dozen of my guys in prison.  We discussed how lack of self-esteem interferes with opting for the healthiest choices.  We also discussed how we need to realize that we cannot change others, only ourselves.  Trying to change others usually leads to manipulation, which tends to destroy relationships.  These concepts sound easy, but putting them into practice is tough, and I’m thoroughly pleased with my guys for their dedicated attempts to do so and their successes.  On the down side my bad hip took a sudden turn for the worst, and I can barely walk.  Also there is no A/C in prisoner areas, and we sweltered.  I cooled the apartment down to 82° overnight, but two of the next three days are forecast as record highs.  I have two other stories.  I’m pretty sure that I am too worn out and in too much pain to distribute links.  I don’t know if I can catch up on comments.  We’ll see want tomorrow brings.
