Please pardon my pit stop. I’ve tad virtually no sleep in the last three days, and I’ve figured out why. Lactulose causes bloating, cramping and gas. That has kept me awake. WWWendy is coming, and I hope I can nap before she does. Have a good day. Maybe tomorrow.

It’s an exhausted day here in the CatBox. I’ve made three trips to the throne this morning, but the output has been too tiny to qualify for Republican Party membership. I could not sleep last night. I’m falling asleep at the keyboard, so I need to go back to bed. Tomorrow is a WWWendy day, so I’ll have no more than a Personal Update, albeit better than this, I hope. Have a fine weekend!

I still need to stay in bed. Yesterday, Providence Doctor at home sent me some Lactulose Solution. I will be getting Relistor in a few days. It takes prior insurance approval, and that takes two to three days. Store to Door cancelled this week’s grocery orders due to the weather. WWWendy went shopping for me and brought me the high fiber foods I requested. I have pooped. It’s way too little, but any poop is better than none, except for Republican politicians. I had a high fiber breakfast of oatmeal, berries, and Dave’s Killer Bread (they were out of Ezekiel). I’m just exhausted. Maybe tomorrow. Did I hear the sound of a traitor RUSHING down and sizzling? TGIF!

I try not to do 2 by Beau on the same day – but this one is different – it’s on how to stay warm with no power with a minimum of danger (at least the first part is) and it needs to be shared.

PHP is a programming language used to build websites. We have it at all through our hosting partner, BlueHost. In order to update it, we have to go through Bluehost. During his life, TomCat was the only one who had access to our account there. I (JD) am now the only one. I have been to BlueHost and investigated updating our PHP to 8.3 or even to 8.1. I found instructions to do so - in fact, I found two conflicting sets of instructions. I went through one set of the steps and got the message that Our site could not handle 8.3, but that it had successfully updated to 8.1. I then went back here to see what it looked like. But I couldn't get in - either as an administrator or as a reader. It was just gone. I had to reach BlueHost by phone. It was determined that Politics Plus is in fact not compatible with any version of PHP newer than the one we have. BlueHost therefore uninstalled it for me, and the site came back to normal. Of course, like everyone else, I care about security. But I also am aware that TomCat elected to use different providers for several of the services that BlueHost provides, for instance backups. We are backed up daily - but not by BlueHost. However, out PHP is through Bluehost. I feel that if they are not worried about the older version, I am not going to worry about it. I believe that our security here is all or mostly through WordFence, whom I trust.
