America is in the gravest peril we gave ever experienced.  You may think that it was more grave when the British occupied and burned our capitol in 1814, but I think that may have been preferable to the occupation we have today by a fascist Russian agent.  If trump gets another appointment to SCROTUS (Republican Constitutional VD), that may be the end.  Fortunately Robert Reich, the Reich on the left has some ideas on how to save America.

My friends, this is a dark hour. Intolerance, cruelty, racism, misogyny, xenophobia, and environmental destruction have been let loose across the land.

Trump controls the Republican Party, the Republican Party controls the House and Senate, and the Senate and Trump will soon control the Supreme Court.

Republicans also control both chambers in 32 states (33 if you count Nebraska) and 33 governorships. And in many of these states they are entrenching their power by gerrymandering and arranging to suppress votes.

Yet only 27 percent of Americans are Republican, and the vast majority of Americans disapprove of Trump. The GOP itself is now little more than Trump, Fox News, a handful of billionaire funders, and evangelicals who oppose a woman’s right to choose, gay marriage, and the Constitution’s separation of church and state.

So what are we – the majority – to do?

First and most importantly, do not give up.

That’s what they want us to do. Then they’d have no opposition at all…

Robert has some excellent ideas.  Republican politicians, especially Senators, should never have room to fart without being overwhelmed by hundreds, if not thousands, of peaceful, not respectful, protestors, until the last Republican flushes out.

In February, 2016 one of the most extreme Fascists on SCROTUS (Republican Constitutional VD), Antonin Scalia, joined his demonic master in the nether regions, where he continues to sizzle.  Barrack Obama nominated Merrick Garland, a centrist, and a truly bipartisan, compromise candidate.  But the Republican Party insisted on a Nazi.  Bought Bitch Mitch coined the McConnell Rule and stated that no Supreme Court confirmation could take place during an election year, because the people deserved a say.  Garland was denied a hearing, and in 2017, Trump stole Obama’s appointment and put a goose-stepper on the court, Injustice Neil Whoresuch.  Now Anthony Kennedy is retiring, and it’s an election year.

For many Democrats, Supreme Court turnabout would be fair play.

Reaction to Justice Anthony Kennedy’s surprise announcement that he will retire from the Supreme Court on July 31 was swift for many Democrats, some of whom said the Senate should follow the standard set by Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and deny a vote to President Trump’s next nominee to the high court.

In 2016, citing the upcoming election, McConnell blocked President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland. Now, with Trump and his fellow Republicans poised to cement conservative control of the high court, Democrats hope to turn the tables on the GOP.

“Our Republican colleagues in the Senate should follow the rule they set in 2016,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said in a speech on the Senate floor. “Senator McConnell would tell anyone who listened that the Senate had the right to advise and consent — and that was every bit as important as the president’s right to nominate.”

Schumer also said the Senate should reject any Supreme Court pick who would vote to overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 decision that affirmed a woman’s right to have an abortion… [emphasis added]

As usual, Rachel Maddow’s take on the subject is lengthily (25 min.), as she outlines the Democrat’s position, and explains how it may be possible to defeat Trump’s evil nominee.

One horrid possibility is that Bought Bitch Mitch will put off the vote as long as possible in order to push pseudo-Christians, who might have stayed home, to the polls to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Today it became apparent that, the Supreme Court of the Republican Reich is more inclined to ignore the law, ignore stare decisis, and goose-step behind Fuhrer Donald Trump.  In giving Trump his Muslim Ban, they just did exactly that, but at least, may dissent against Republican Injustices’ decisions.  Sonia Sotomayor tore SCROTUS (Republican Constitutional VD) a new sphincter.

Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., reading for the majority on Tuesday morning, spoke clinically. Justice Stephen G. Breyer followed, working his way through his dissent mildly and analytically.

Then it was Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s turn.

Steely and unwavering, she began: “The United States of America is a nation built upon the promise of religious liberty. Our founders honored that core promise by embedding the principle of religious neutrality in the First Amendment.”

The crowded courthouse fell silent.

In upholding President Trump’s ban on travel from several predominantly Muslim countries, Justice Sotomayor continued, the Supreme Court had failed to “safeguard that fundamental principle.”

For the next 20 minutes, she remained resolute as she delivered an extraordinarily scorching dissent, skewering the court’s decision and condemning the ban as “harrowing” and “motivated by hostility and animus toward the Muslim faith.”… [emphasis added]

Here is the one hundred twenty-fourth article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s honoree is Republican End Times Broadcaster and Conspiracy Theorist Rick Wiles.  He is so honored for the Republican way he projects Republican love of violence onto Democrats.

End Times broadcaster Rick Wiles used his “TruNews” program on Friday [pseudo-Christian delinked] to warn his viewers that liberals may begin to assassinate Republican candidates before the 2018 midterm elections in preparation for civil war.

“When they get rid of Donald Trump, they are going to crush the people who voted for him,” Wiles said. “Your country is being taken away from you.”

“This is a revolution,” he added. “It is a communist/Marxist/socialist/leftist revolution and it has the potential to turn bloody. I would say that we need to be prepared for this fall. Be prepared. I pray to God that the leftists/Marxists/socialists/communists do not assassinate Republican candidates for the House and Senate and governor and other positions. But be prepared that as we go in to October, that they will carry out targeted killings of Republicans.”

“If that happens, then you know that a violent revolution has now begun,” he warned, adding that if Democrats win control of Congress in the midterms, “this country is going to be ripped to pieces.”… [emphasis added]
