Here are the results of the Republican criminal blackmail poll.

And here are your comments

I had a hard time between Constitutional option and economic nightmare. I really think it’s going to be both. We’ll have to see if Obama has the balls to use the 14th amendment.
I had to pull this one early, because the issue became moot. There turned out to be two correct answers: a compromise that gives Republican criminals too much and an economic nightmare.
I was half right.
I have put up a new poll for the first half of August.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

I had a hard time wiht that poll deciding which of the 2 right answers to choose. I chose giving too much to the RepublicanTs.
So did I.
All right already.
We know the problem.
Let’s come up with solutions.
Maybe some homespun family solutions could adapt to raise the revenue.
How about making a collection of articles which belonged to famous people.
Have Americans search their attics and contribute to the cause of paying America’s debt.
Movie stars sell their items for thousands.
We could make millions off of one “national yard sale”. Just don’t let the politicians handle that sale!!!!!
What’s wrong with a little humility? We have already been humiliated. If we would use innovative ideas, even home spun ideas like a National Yard Sale held on a regular basis, I think we’d be admired.
Let’s use what we have and make money. Taxes and starving poor people are NOT the only 2 ways to make money.
Dang! Where are the “think tanks”?
Welcome Zee! 🙂
Your garage sale, while creative and well intended, would bring in $millions, but we have a problem of $trillions. However, there is a third way. It is to stimulate the economy to create jobs. The more people have jobs, the more revenue rolls in. The problem is that tax cuts for the rich and starving the poor are the only options Republicans will not block.
