Yesterday was Black Friday, and there wasn’t much else going on. I’m sure people got hurt shopping – someone always does – but I had to get this up early, since I am seeing Virgil today. I was looking at the sources I go to when it’s slow, and started with “Law & Crime.” I found there an amazing collection of headlines the like of which you definitely do not see every day … along with the usual sordid ones you do see every day, of course. So I thought I’d do something different and just list the most egregious ones, along with links in case you want details. Don’t laugh too hard and cramp up.

Just as well it’s for life as it would appear she was the breadwinner.

I wonder whether they are fighting to represent him … or fighting not to.

SMFH. Well, he can still serve society as the poster child for needing police reform.

  1. Cartoon: I remember this sad/horrible event clearly. How sad!!!
L&C: Shame he didn’t take his sweet lil babygirl to the fire/police department. I have no sympathy whatsoever for what this pos did. He can rot at the county dump for all I care.
L&C#2: YIKES! Life in prison seems appropriate. Sadly….RIP, Ms. Seidenfaden.
L&C#3: Glad that he was arrested. He needs to get an immediate pass to prison, imho.
L&C#5: What a sick pos. Hope he gets what’s coming to him in prison…
L&C #6: How sick – Hope Santiago gets the justice that is due him.
    FFT: Yep, definitely an R.

Had a wonderful time sharing the day with family, it’s always a caring and memorable day.
Have a great visit w/Virgil, and a very safe trip back home.
Take care, and get your rest too.

    • Glad you had a wonderful time with your family, Pat.
TJI#1: Wonderful news. Hope they actually can get them to pay up.
      TJI#2: Sound positive to me.
TJI#3: Hope it get knocked down. These people need to get vaccinated.
TJI#4: Hope Arizona gets their wish.
      TJI#5: So do I, John.

    • TJI #1 – yes, isn’t that nice. It isn’t criminal charges … but in a way it’s almost better. The plaintiffs may bnot be able to collect much, byut they will bankrupt the Nazis – as well as setting an example.
TJI #2 – These updates from Wendy at State are very informative and appreciated.
TJI #3 – Because of course he did. I hope (and expect) he’ll get the state stuck for court costs. Sorry, Pat, but I’m sure you agree Joe is more to be trusted with money than either Greg or Ken.
TJI #4 – I hope they can find someone. Maybe Mark Kelly has an idea or two.
TJI #5 – Yeah. So do I. It’s not even like this was the first one (and will likely not be the last.) But maybe he’ll get the omicron variant, hanging around Trump** and other RWNJs.

  2. Reports like these (which happen in America everyday) remind us we need police more than ever and we need prisons to house these criminals. That’s a tax burden we must be willing to pay.

  3. GREETINGS!
Hope everyone had a Happy Turkey Day – I know I did.  Got to see a shirttail relative who lives in Hawaii and hasn’t been to the mainland in almost ten years.
He’s got a cut little 22 mos/o daughter who was a 2-pound premie.  But the reason he came back is because his wife died just a couple of weeks ago.
She had a liver transplant and was doing well and the new liver was functioning fine, but for some unknown reason she decided she did not want to continue taking her anti-rejection meds any more.
It makes no sense.  Very sad.
My time’s about out here at the library – but I wanted to say “HELLO!”.

    • Hello Nameless. Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. Sorry to hear about the wife of your relative dying. Bless her soul. Hope her husband and the baby is doing well and they get settled here.
      Keep us posted. Take care.

    • Yes, a terribly sad loss.  For him and for their 22-month old  It sounds like someone talked her into watching Fox News … which would be criminal.

But I’m glad the day was a success otherwise.

    • Thanks for the update Nameless.  I’m glad your celebration turned out well.

  4. L&C: Agree with Pat’s comment on this one.
L&C 2: WTF is going on in our world. Stabbing someone over a shoulder surgery???? Insane.. Glad he got what he deserves.
L&C 3: Idiots. Lock them up and throw away the keys.
    L&C 4: Probably who doesn’t want to.
L&C 5: Sick minded bas*ard, I too hope he gets locked up.
L&C: 6: Where the heck are these criminal cops coming from?? Should get life behind bars.
My son and his wife is here for a few more days, so that’s why I didn’t get much done here at the house or online.
I hope that you had a nice visit with Virgil today, that your trip there went smoothly. Not too much traffic.
Please let us know when you get back.
    Take care. Thanks Joanne

Colleen: Hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving too!
    Y’all take care.
