Yesterday, it was cool enough for me to turn off all the ceiling fans. Unfortunately, the same cannot be predicted for tomorrow. All protections against destruction by overheating of electronic, food, and whatever are go. Ironically, the visitation room itself is kept so cold all year round that I will still need a winter sweater inside (as well as a tank top under it to drive home in.) Good times.

Wonkette – Philly Cops Beat A Woman And Stole Her Kid For An Insipid Photo-Op — Now She Gets $2 Million
Quote – Philadelphia police have never even attempted to justify or explain their actions that night, which they normally do. They normally at least make up some kind of story about how they were frightened for their lives, how they thought the person they assaulted was someone else. But they didn’t, which sure does make it look like these cops were just enraged by the protests over another horrific police shooting and decided to take that out, violently, on a random Black woman, teenager, and toddler who were just trying to get home.
Click through for the story. This takes me back five years to when I started doing “Everyday Erinyes” and could easily find up to three stories like this every week (without the settlement) – except that this one is uglier than most. I guess I’ll seriously start calling it Phobadelphia, PA

The Hill – Pandemic frustrations zero in on unvaccinated Americans
Quote – Experts support stricter actions like mandates to boost the vaccination rate and protect the public, although several also encourage patience while acknowledging the increased irritation. President Biden and others, however, have indicated their “patience is wearing thin.”
Click through for advice which may be good but is virtually impossible to folow. Turns out sane people do not like people who willfully endanger them and their loved ones. Who knew.

Crooks and Liars – Dirty Trickster James O’Keefe Loses $165K To ‘Fraudsters’
Quote – Take a deep breath. Try not to laugh. Remember, this is an exercise in pretending to care, or at least giving the impression that you could be convinced to give a s!@#. Project Veritas has been had! They’ve been took! Hoodwinked! Bamboozled! Led astray! Run amok! They’re out $165,000 due to what O’Keefe calls an “attack” by “fraudsters.”
Clck through for details. (File this under “karma”)

  1. Philly Cops Beat A Woman And Stole Her Kid For An Insipid Photo-Op — Now She Gets $2 Million

This is the first I heard of that incident.  Absolutely appalling!  At $2 million, the Philadelphia cops are getting off cheap.  She deserves more!

I found a brief video clip of the attack that has CC:

There’s a much longer one here that includes an interview w/ Ms. Wilson – but you can’t embed it:

Pandemic frustrations zero in on unvaccinated Americans

I’m sick and tired of being told we need to treat the unvaccinated idiots w/ kid gloves so they might change their minds.

    BS!

    No more walking-on-eggshells for me!

The only problem I have w/ this Trumpkin Cult of imbeciles committing what amounts to mass suicide just to “own the libs” is that their stupidity impacts innocent men, women and children.

    tee-hee-hee!!!

  2. I completely understand how the weather and AC can be with the outside being cold one day, hot and humid the next. Hope that all goes well with your drive to and fro to see Virgil. Safe travels.
Cartoon: Sad and depressing for those enslaved.
Wonkette: What a horrible experience for both her, nephew and son. I’m relieved to read she received a good settlement…and assistance for her and her family. Sickening hateful behavior!
The Hill: It is, indeed… frustrating for those who are vaccinated and thankfully! being mindful of distancing oneself from others who are not. Those who haven’t or don’t plan on getting the shot(s), are extremely rude about it, imho, as I’ve run into a couple naysayers here. Like yesterday, those 3 ladies/tourists visiting NYC (from Houston TX), hitting/attacking a hostess asking for their proof of verification of their vaccination status. Unreal.
C&L: Couldn’t happen to a nicer group. I’ll not be crying over this at.ALL. 12

This Just IN – “Colorado AG: Probe after Elijah McClain death finds Aurora Police Department has pattern of racially biased policing.” ~ Yamiche Alcindor ~
    2. “Swedish millionaire Johan Eliasch purchased 400,000 acres of the Amazon Rainforest from a logging company for $14,000,000 for the sole purpose of it’s preservation.” ~ Renee Gonyea ~
    3. “Listen, even if you disagree with me – even if you’ve stood outside my house or this Capitol and yelled about me – I care about you. I care about you and your families and I want you to be safe. These vaccines are safe. Please, go out and get yours.” ~ Governor Andy Beshear ~
    4. “All of us @StateDept are grateful to the Senate that Ambassador Donald Lu can now take up the role of Assistant Secretary of @State_SCA this week. For more than 30 years, Ambassador Lu has been dedicated to working on behalf of the American people in South and Central Asia. ~ Wendy R. Sherman @DeputySecState ~
    5. “Met briefly this morning with the tireless and committed #AngelinaJolie this morning to talk about the importance of reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act and the importance of continuing to fight for women, children and families around the world.” ~ Jen Psaki -9/15~

    • TJI #1 – It’s good to have a Democratic AG, and this is a good decision. Now, what will he do about it?
TJI #2 – Good – but sad that it is necessary. And he’ll need to continue to invest in security, or the logging will just become poaching.
TJI #3 – And that’s the truth. (Which sadly means the message is crippled from its inception.)
TJI #4 – At this point any confirmation is better than no confirmation – and this one appears objectively good.
      TJI #5 – Interesting.

    • TJI#1: Good, now prosecute them for their racial acts of hatred/bullying.
      TJI#2: Nice.
TJI#3: Ain’t that the flipping truth? Sad we have such idiots who aren’t paying attention and getting there’s.
      TJI#4: Great news.
      TJI#5: Nice, hope they can.

  3. Cartoon: Awful day.
Wonkette: WTF?? is wrong with these flipping police officers. No one should be subject to such hatred acts. I honestly hope they do pay royally for what they did to this family. Prosecute the f**king police.
The Hill: I too am sick of hearing how many haven’t gotten the vaccine. Insane. The past two days, children have gotten deeply sick, one died due to the parents not being vaccinated. What part of the vaccine will save your life, don’t these fools understand???
C&L: Hilarious. Glad they got what they deserved.
Food for Thought: Ditto Pat’s comment.
I can understand going to building with A/C running. When I go to P.T. or to see the doctors, their offices are kept so cool. I’m dress for the outside which had been in the 80’s. So when I go into their offices, it’s chilly for me.
Have a nice visit with Virgil tomorrow, do hope you have a safe drive, to and from.
    Take care. Thanks Joanne

  4. thanks….keep up the good fight…
