JM: Biden “officially” sacked those Trump hacks on military advisory boards because of their incompetence and because of its truth it is the best argument to do so. The same holds for both Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh; at any other time, their unsuitability and incompetence would have kept any other President even from putting them on a list, let alone nominate them. Sadly justices on SCOTUS are appointed for life and impeachment is the only way to get rid of them. Incompetence never has been a reason to impeach a justice, so Kavanaugh it’ll have to be when justice matters.

IANAL, but I know of no law nor DOJ memo that precludes a sitting justice from being criminally charged, convicted, and sentenced to prison. That could make impeachment easier. It could also lead to his resignation, with enough pressure. It wouldbn’t even have to be federal charges. State charges would do just fine. That’s why I think of him as low-hanging fruit.
