  1. Rep. Kevin McCarthy Obstructs the Congressional Investigation into 1/6 Attack

It was 20 years ago that Americans hailed as heroes are fellow citizens on Flight 93 who sacrificed their lives to prevent an attack on our Capitol.

Sadly, today Rethuglicans hail as heroes their fellow Trumpkins who literally DID attack our Capitol.

FYI Qevin McCarthy – your obstruction is a violation of 18 U.S. Code § 1505: Obstruction of proceedings before departments, agencies, and committees

    That praise is most welcomed.

    Better With Biden

The whole WORLD is better off with Biden!

AND LOTS MORE!!  Time to get people under Oath!

Republicans Impose Alaeda [sic] Laws on Texas Women …

    and

    Texas Abortion Law Ramblings

I trust this abomination of a “law” will be overturned – and SOON!

… foreign policy, American vs Soviet style …

Not sure – have to think more on this one.

    • I agreaa that was thought provoking,  I also feel both analogies are good, in different ways.  Sometimes something is so complicated one analigy is not enough – one needs to keep multiple analogies in mind simultaneously.

  2. JM: Yes, the DOJ must act. And it won’t. Garland is a dud.

MSNBC: I suppose you had to be there to understand you shouldn’t be there.

MT Yes, it is. The economy isn’t everything, though; something Democrats should understand better than Republicans.

NTN: Lots of questions that need answering. Though nine months later, I start to wonder if they’ll ever be answered while it still matters. Republicans are increasing their grip on the country no matter what Biden and the Democrats in Congress do. Republicans in Congress and SCOTUS continue their abuse of power and are only securing it instead of being called to account.

    RA: Ya’llQueda indeed.

LR: Right, Trae. That’s why we’ve been calling them Talibengalists here for years.

Beau: I don’t play poker because it is gambling with (possibly) high stakes; gambling holds no interest for me. In a card game, you never know what hand you’re going to be dealt, even if you cheat. In a board game like chess, checkers or go, everyone starts on the same footing and your skill determines if you win or not. Neither analogy recognises the enormous cultural differences both players bring to the table. Cultural differences can make players play two completely different games with different stakes and rules, and therefore outcomes, unknown to the other. All in all, I think neither analogy describes foreign policy better. Perhaps foreign policy is an analogy all on its own.

  3. I think Democrats mostly do understand that the economy isn’t everything.  that’s why we mostly don’t campaign on it.   That’s too bad, because, when we dom we mostly win.  That’s how, for instance, Bill Clinton got elected.

Good point on foreign policy.  It sertainly explains why no one understands it.  (Some understand it pretty well, but even they, not fully.)
