  1. Prosecutor Fights To Free Wrongfully Convicted Man

I just shudder to think how often this happens.

Think of all the incidents of police misdeeds that have been caught on phone videos.  I can’t help but wonder how often that occurred BEFORE cellphones were ubiquitous.

Right-Wingers CAUGHT With Guns In Disney World

And I suppose they brought their kids.  What a HORRIBLE lesson to teach children.

    *sigh*

Widower Plants 4,000 Trees in Memory of Late Wife

    What a wonderful tribute!

“I’m happy here.  I feel very peaceful.”  Would that we could all say that.

Buddhist Statue in Japan Wears Giant Face Mask

I thought the mask was going to be that pretty blue.  But I suppose the sheer, flesh-colored one makes more sense, giving the wind.

Putin’ on a Show for Biden

Vlad’s old joke was in dire need of a rimshot.

Let’s talk about Madison Cawthorn’s Vietnam comparison.

WOW!  So Cawthorn managed to insult EVERY Vietnam Veteran in just a few seconds:

Who ever thought the GQP would one day be backing the Viet Cong?

So let’s review some major Rethuglican themes revealed in the last four years:

Bases named after Confederates must be honored – Trump: “My Administration will not even consider the renaming of these Magnificent and Fabled Military Installations.”

Nazis are very fine people – Trump on Charlottesville carnage: “Very fine people on both sides.”

The Russian military makes the best ads – Cruz: “Sen. Ted Cruz Insulted A ‘Woke, Emasculated’ U.S. Army Ad. Angry Veterans Fired Back.”

    Sen. Tammy Duckworth responds wonderfully:

The Viet Cong showed us how to handle the Army and Marines – Cawthorn: Not only is Cawthorn a LYING poltroon – but he’s a frickin’ STUPID LYING POLTROON:

    • If I had thought about the GOP ossibly backing anti-Americans, I suspect I would have seen them backing the VC before I would hve expected them to back Nazis.  For one thing, the level of opposition in the US to the VC in particular was minimal/  People weren’t thinking “VC” but “Ho Chi Minh” – or if they did think group, they thought “North Vietnam.”  And even then it wasn’t like the universal loathing that Amercans had for Nazis  Yes, there were Nazi sympathizers arond –  more than anyoe would want to believe.  But the sentiment against Nazis  was so high that they didn’ try to sell it publicly.  Yet here we are.

  2. MSNBC: I’m utterly disgusted by the Missouri High Court and its governor leaving Mr Strickland to further rot in jail after 43 years of wrongful imprisonment because it “has no priority”. I hope that Mr Strickland will sue Missouri for all it’s got, both for wrongful imprisonment and the disdain with which the judges and the governor refused to admit to a mistake and left a black man holding the short end of the stick yet again.

DR: How deep you must have sunk as a society when even Americans, habituated to daily (mass) shootings, are flabbergasted by not 1 but 14 arrests so far of people taking automatic rifles and guns into DisneyWorld?

NTN #1: So sweet. I’m feeling a little guilty now for only planting two and keeping them alive through the drought.

NTN #2: A splendid way to get the message across. Is it anywhere near the Olympic village?

GZERO: It may not have gone like this, but Vlad made sure that his people got the impression it did.

Beau: I can see Beau is rather upset and knowing him rightly so but I have no understanding of these matters or an opinion on it.

  3. lMSNBC: How horrid!  And further proof of the need to do AWAY with the death penalty.  Yes, as Nameless points out, we can only suspect that these kinds of things happen with much more frequency than we know about, especially to black people.
Damage  Report: Unfrigging-believable!  Was he planning on carrying it with him on the rides?  Trump sickness has terrified so many message-vulnerable MAGA-things!
NTN#1: How beautiful!  It is reminiscent of a book by Jean Giono, “The Man who Planted Trees.”  I read it decades ago.
NTN#2: This is a wow! Namaste.
PR: Vlad, named after “Vlad the Impaler?”
Beau: Woodstock shirt!  Groovy!  The same fantasy as the one about a single armed good guy in a theater would be able to take out the bad guy who just jumped onto the stage and began spraying the audience with an automatic weapon.  Where was that, colorado, some years ago? Cawthorn, and his sick ilk, are playing to the sheeple. He was born in 1991, what the hell does he think he knows about Vietnam?  What are “they” so angry about?  Their fantasy of the White Man’s Garden of Eden in the U.S. disappearing, maybe? That’s a big part of how TOT got to be so popular with the “deplorables,” raise the threat of the “others.”
