It’s a really crappy day here in the CatBox.  On the plus side, the issue of constipation is now moot.  On the minus side, I know this because I headed to the throne thus morning, and I did not make it.  Cleaning up me, the sheets, and George was a difficult chore.  Happy Hump Day!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 6:10 (average 5:02).  To do it, do it, click here. How did you do?

  1. Cartoon: Remember this like it was yesterday. Oh! the sadness and horror of the effects.
    BFTP: C,S, & N – All time favorite song.

Glad to read that your accident is history…’stuff happens’… and hope all is good for you. Get your rest and a nap in, and take good, good care, and Thanks, Tom.

*This just in: “Remember when you get your rescue check, remember EVERY Republican did everything they could to stop you from getting it. ~ Jerry T. ~
    2. “I think when (OFM) and his criminal charges begin, the media will have plenty to report. A ratings bonanza!” ~ Debbie C. ~
    3. “I thought by now that Charlie Brown (aka Democrats) had learned not to play football with Lucy, (BBMM)” ~ Judy J. ~
    4. “If your listening, Democrats, pass the Voting Rights Bill while you have the Majority.” ~ Jewel A. ~
    5. “The R’s who are freaking out about brown people crossing the border, … were perfectly chill about white people breaching the Capitol.” ~ Andy Borowitz ~

    • TJI #1 – Not one in Congress. Yet there were plenty of Republican voters who supported it.
TJI #3 – Did I mis some news?
TJI #4 – I think they are trying as hard as they can. It can’t be done without eliminating the filibuster, and every top Democrat is working on that. Of course, like everyone else, I fear that if this act is not passed, and enforced, our democracy is over. And that time is short.
TJI #5 – Straight news. I suppose there’s no way to make that humorous.

      • Joanne: In re: to your question…No, just a comment about MM.
MM is the same today as yesterday and tomorrow.
He tries to appear relevant when he speaks, but the Dems don’t negotiate or work with liars.
Don’t play football with them either. LOL
        That’s my take on it.

      • TJI’s: All good; work #4 as hard as possible, giving BBMM no quarter.
TJI#5: Hey, if the clowns who have been screaming about the border issue treated it like they did the Capitol issue, they’d be out there sneaking some of those brown people into their own homes!

    • I am so out of the loop: Who or what is “(OFM)”?

  2. That is the problem with extreme cycles. It’s always awful, just a different kind of awful from time to time. I do hope you can find ways to level out.

Article from one of George Takei’s many websites regardin sexism, algorithms, and sexism.

Cartoon – Oh, is that what the famous-but-never-seen “sarcasm font” looks like?

Blast – It has always been thus. I’ve been given to understand that one of the oldest graffitti ever discovered and translated was a rant about the younger generation. Categories can be useful – but some people seem never to learn to relate any other way, which causes great distress for themselves, and even more for their children (and parents.)

  3. Sorry about your EXTREME Republicosis!
‘Toon: And Exxon has gone on to apologize by funding BS on global warming!  I read that the CEO of Marlboro, back in the days of the “Marlboro Man, died of lung cancer, too bad karma does not visit these fossil fuel bastards similarly.
CSNY: Oh, yes, those memories!  I just read that there is a growing movement to actually teach civics again; not as dates and names to be regurgitated, but as citizenship, and ethics.

  4. Sorry to learn of your difficulty in GI transitioning.

Truth be told, I always found it was difficult to go from diarrhea back to regular.  You feel that certain something in your lower GI tract and wonder: “Is it just gas and safe to fart – or is it more than that?”

And of course, there’s always the problems with those unexpected “sharts”.

  5. So sorry to hear you haven’t found a fibre-balance yet and are still swinging between Republican extremes, TomCat.

Thanks for posting the puzzle, TomCat. I’ll still be playing but without publishing my times.

    Cartoon: Yeah, right.

BFTP: One of the best songs C, S, N & Y produced out of many excellent songs. The ongoing cycle of disagreement between old and young always makes me a little sad. I wish people would hold on to their young (progressive) ideals longer.

  6. Cartoon: Remember this disaster, one that we wished never occurred.
BFTP: Great song. Big fan of CSNY.
Sorry to hear about your lower intestine problem. I know what a pain it can be. With having IBS/IBD, I’ve had days where I had to remain home where I had fast access to a restroom. That’s all thanks to the pain meds I was on for years due to my arm surgeries.
I hope the rest of you day went well. That you were able to eat and drink your fluids.
Praying you get better soon. Take care.

  7. Thanks and horrid day hugs to all. 19
