Friday Fun Update

I didn’t change horses in midstream, nor did I technically bite off more than I can chew – at least originally.

But when I had it done, I decided I really should go back and add captions to the 30 or so slides for it to make better sense.

So it was back to the drawing board to teach myself how to add captions and still create a GIF w/ them.

Should be ready by tomorrow.

For my penitence, here’s a Tweet of the our new Attorney General, Merrick Garland, arriving at the DOJ yesterday to a standing ovation.

So nice to have adults back in charge again!

  1. Yes, it is a wonderful feeling know that we are back in charge again!!!
What a great video of our new AG, and a fine reception that he got. WOO HOO!
Doesn’t get any better than that, imho.

    Thank you, Nameless for post.

  2. I was going to put the tweet into the video thread for tomorrow … becauseit is SO uplifting.  I (And no sound except applause, no CC not needed.)  But that’s OK.  I have other things up my sleeve.

And I kind of expected a Saturday piece from you this week.  But I don’t think we’ll trip over each other on anything else.

    thanks for the update.

    • I apologize!  I thought it was an obscure enough Tweet you wouldn’t most likely come across it.  I mean, it only has 704 current “Hearts”?  Not exactly closing in on the Twitter Trendsmap!

I’ll have to remember your stellar sleuthing skills in the future.

      • Please, don’t worry!  I cab always come up with something to pad it out.  The sooner everyone sees this the better.  It is truly uplifting.
And today – I hope you’ll be surprised by what else I have.

  3. Wow…so nice watching our new Attorney General, a man with real qualifications/credentials being welcomed for his first day of work.
What a wonderful welcome for him. Well deserved.
    Thanks Nameless

  4. Good luck with what sounds like a Herculean task, all to bring a smile to our faces, Nameless. Even though we have yet to see it, I can tell you it is much appreciated.

Thank you for the ray of sunshine coming off the Merrick Garland video. It must have been bittersweet to get the applause he should have received should he have entered the Supreme Court as the new SCOTUS appointee nearly five years ago. Good luck Mr Attorney General, you’ve got a hell of a job ahead of you.

  5. Thanks Nameless–so glad to hear he got the welcome he deserves.  Saw that 320 have now been charged with Jan. 6th offenses and that they expect to charge at least 100 more–he’s got the experience to support this effort, too.

  6. I’m afraid I don’t share the optimism all of you have, but then I do live in a very different place. One can only hope something is accomplished before “he” comes back on the scene in a biggere way.
