It’s a busy day here in the CatBox.  Store to Door is delivering groceries, and I have to unpack and put them away.  Tomorrow my hospital appointment is later than normal, so Wendy will be here first thing in the morning to give me my shower.  Then I dress, and we head to the hospital in the blizzard.  I hope to return mid to late afternoon, at which time, I’ll be completely exhausted.  Portland is under a Winter Storm Warning with 10″ or more of snow forecast to accumulate between now and Saturday afternoon.  Tomorrow expect only a brief Personal Update.  I’ll try to add a home safe comment when I return.  Have a great day.

Today’s took me 4:23 (average 7:14).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From Alternet: As other networks airing Donald Trump’s Senate impeachment trial on Wednesday showed chilling new video footage of the deadly January 6 mob attack on the U.S. Capitol incited by the former president, Fox News opted to cut away to cover different stories.

How vile! God forbid that the fools, who watch the Republican Reichsministry of Propaganda, Faux Noise, should get to see what really happened!  RESIST the Republican Reich!!

From YouTube (NBC News Channel): Day 2 Of Donald Trump’s Impeachment Trial In The Senate

This video is 11 hours long, and I put it here so you can skip through it for parts you may want to see.  RESIST the Republican Reich!!

From YouTube (a blast from the past): California Dreamin’

Ah… the memories!  RESIST the Republican Reich!!

  1. Sheesh. You call today busy? Not compared to tomorrow! And not only busy, but having weather. We had a little snow Monday but it was gone pretty quickly.

    Well, this is scary.

It’s also scary to me that my Congressman, Doug Lamborn, took Congresswoman Lauren Boebert on a tour of the Pueblo Chemical Depot on Tuesday. This scared me enough that I emailed Speaker Pelosi (she does not accept email from non-constituents through hr website as a Congresswoman, but she does through her website as the Speaker) and to one of my Senators yesterday about it.  I was as brief as I could be, but I am savinh the email, both in my mailbox so it can be forwarded, and as a PDF so I can attach it.

Cartoon – More than fifty years before black people even got to vote. Or did they let free people of color vote in the North? If you go to Wikipedia, you’ll find that he didn’t draw the maps, he only signed off on them (and according to at least one of his children, did so while holding his nose.) Considering he was one of only three delegates to the Constitutional Convention who refused to sign it specifically because it did not contain a Bill of Rights, I could believe that.

AlterNet – Thanks for the video. I put up just the senastional clip yesterday but it appears it’s quite short. There may be more in there.

Blast – LOL, I’ll bet you are, if you are expecting a blizzard! I hope it turns out to be not as bad as expected.

Happy New (Lunar) Year. Yes, it’s tomorrow, but I made two of them.

  2. I hope you saved yourself some back pain and only put the perishables away, TomCat. Rest as much as possible to prepare for tomorrow.

5:16 Difficult to do when a cat is sleeping on your mouse arm.

Cartoon: And it is about time someone in Congress came up with an anti-Gerrymandering law.

    Alternet: Surprising? No. Repugnant? Yes.

BOTP: I suppose this is what many Americans do right now with the snow piling up outside.

  3. Cartoon: It needs to be stopped…I’ve been signing petitions to do away with Gerrymandering.
Alternet: Figures Fake News and the rotten R’s would try to change the subject, being how heartless they are.
YouTube/NBC News: I watched the Impeachment Trail today. Know that I won’t be watching it when the rotten R’s start theirs tomorrow since it will be full of lies.
BFTP: Great song. The weather has been cooler here. I feel for all of you who suffer with the heavy snow or rain. Pray that you are all safe.
Hope your groceries came on time and you were able to put them away without causing yourself too much pain.
Good luck tomorrow with your trip to the hospital. Hope your treatment goes well and that you’re able to pick up your patches too.
Tell Wendy “Hello and Thanks” too.
    Take care. Thanks TomCat
