As you noted, today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day (Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated on this day in 1945 by the Red Army). To mark the day, CNN ran a report by Holocaust survivor urging us all to stand up to Trump, Trumpkins and their fascist ways:

“Golden Retriever Attacked by Kitten” The patience of that Golden Retriever rival’s Job’s. At about the 1:30 mark the kitten starts scratching the dog’s nose w/ his hind feet. I don’t know if the kitten was declawed or not – but I know they do NOT declaw the hind feet.
To those of us who’ve had kitty cats, we KNOW what it’s like to be attacked w/ their hind legs. That’s where the greatest part of their power is!

You’re right about the hind legs and the nose. The fur protects him from most of the claws and even teth at that age, but the nose is exposed. If you ever wondered how Goldens got the repoutation of being mellow, incidents like this wer a big part of it.

NTN: Yes, a trigger. The remembrance at Auschwitz is important, but it doesn’t really matter how many of the survivors take part. COVID-19 or not, each year less will participate and if their number is what matters then the world is doomed to forget. Education is the key here; educating the young with an honest insight into History, both global and their own. And that goes further than just the Holocaust and doesn’t stop there either. January 6th should be part of this education too.
RA: No mincing of words there. But we haven’t gotten to the Clockwork-Orange state yet where Senators can be forced to watch videos like these. So Trump will not be convicted.

I’m pretty sure that slogan is not original to him, but I’m all for him (and anyone and everyone else) publicizing it.
I watched the PBS show when it aired. They did a good job chronicling the last four years of Trumps demagoguery and every American should see it. After watching it I have the same question I did 5 years ago. How in the hell could tens of millions of Americans vote for this slob (Trump)?
They were brainwashed into believing that we are all cannibal pedophile lizard peopl (which of course is nonsense, because if we are lizard people, then eating humans is not cannibalism.) Plus, the republicans has been working of slandering Hillary even before she was First Lady -of the US -back when she was the First Lady of Arkansas.
In other words, because they are filled with hate – and hate is easy to stoke with more fear. And we, the objects of that fear, if we are white, find it hard to grasp that we are hated that much just for breathing. People of color don’t have nearly so much trouble understanding it. Well, except Daryl Davis. But he didn’t start questioning until after he spent some time in other nations, and, though he has had some notable successes, he has also had many failures. (And his work is not supported by most other people of color either.)

Would that they were … though I would substitute “ignorant” for stupid – because ignorant can be fixed much more easily than brainwashing. Far to many of them are not, indeed are practically sophisticated, middle class, lower upper class, but brainwashed.

Now This: These last survivors will not be around for too much longer, and must be listened to. That was no the last genocide, neither was it the first, by a long shot. We need to educate the young, for now, and for generations coming. Here is an interview with my 1st cousin, once removed, Adam, liberated by another first cousin, Norbert. I had not thought to look Adam up, until just now:
