Convict Trump
I still like Rep. Clyburn’s idea of holding of giving the Article of Impeachment to the Senate until after Biden’s “100 Day Honeymoon” (rigghhtt).
I can see both positive and negatives:
Filing now (as what looks like most likely will happen) let’s us strike while the iron is hot. Americans are NOT happy about what Trump & his domestic terrorists did to our Capitol on the 6th.
So it makes sense to take advantage of that anger and move forward now.
But waiting would provide the opportunity to dig deeper and develop a more comprehensive case. The highly unusual “Reconnaissance Tours” the day before the riots look awfully suspicious. And the transfer of ~ $500,000 in Bitcoin to right-wing groups from a foreign entity in December certainly is worth pursuing.
Those kind of investigations take time.

Where was the republican’s sense of “Unity” for the greater good & to heal the nation in the TWO months after the election, when they spread lie after lie after lie … in an effort to subvert our election?
But NOW we need “Unity” to avoid further violence?

All those are criminal issues. I’m cool with impeaching now . If, as he says he intends, McConnell plans to start the Senate’s part on the 21st – the day after the inauguration – won’t that mean he won’t be in charge? Kamala will?

Beau: The joint statement of Chiefs is very clear, and so is the fact that having to make this statement at all is appealing.
What a terrible mess. I’m starting to feel so sorry for Biden. How is he going to rescue a country that is rotten and damaged to the core politically, while one of the worst pandemics is raging with no end in sight. He can’t possibly fight and win on two fronts at once.
