It’s a tired day here in the CatBox. My Republicosis last night was severe enough that I had to get up, pop on George, and make the mad dash three times. Sadly, ice cream before bed was a bad idea. From Daily Kos: According to a just-released study, the risk of interference in the coming election by far-right “Patriot” militiamen heavily aligned with Donald Trump is not only real, it’s growing intense in over half the states in the nation, with five states in particular likely to see disruptive behavior and perhaps violence: Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Oregon.
Compiled by the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED), the study gathered and examined “the latest data on right-wing militia organizations across the country, identifying the most active groups and mapping the locations most likely to experience heightened militia activity before, during, and after the election.” What it found should send up warning flares to officials at all levels concerned about election security, as well as among law enforcement officers who seem to be currently preoccupied with election-related civic violence coming from the left.

Domestic Terror – You may notice a little correlation between the states which appear most endangered, and the states where law enforcement is unlikely to be much of any help. Oh, what am I saying – There may not be any state in which law enforcement is likely to be of much help. Possibly Hawai’i? Here in Colorado they’re not likely to intimif=date many voters because of all0mail balloting – as is true of oregon – but I wouldn’t put it past them to intimidate election offocials. At least my ballot is in (Blue top to bottom). I’m tempted to not get out of bed that day.

I want to correct my remark regarding tRump jr. He was on fOx news and he was saying that regarding the number of deaths. he’s saying it’s “Almost Nothing”. Here were getting close to 230,00 deaths and this ignorant bas*ard says “Almost Nothing”. IDIOT. I was just watching the Nightly News with David Muir and he showed the segment.

DK: Your advise avoiding confrontation is sound, TomCat, but I hope that wouldn’t lead to Democrats avoiding the polling box altogether. And as sad as it is, people should be ready to take to the streets when Trump won’t acknowledge defeat. I dearly hope that this won’t be necessary because then confrontations will be hard to avoid.
MSNBC: Incredibly sad and completely incomprehensible that the safety of voters in the polling stations and the counters after the polls have closed needs to be discussed. And what %$#@ reason did the judge accept to allow voters to carry weapons inside the polling station?

To clarify, I am not suggesting that Americans abandon our polling places to the Nazi Republican Gestapo. I am suggesting that, until the voting is finished, voting is more important than protesting. If you are sting in line to vote and Republicans harass you, ignore them. If you are standing in line to vote and you see Republicans harassing someone else, use your smartphone to document it.

I dread the idea that the fight for abortion rights might have to be repeated.
Given that rumor has it supporters of the State of Jefferson are confronting those who wear masks in public, I’m thinking that might point to areas in CA at higher risk (among the second level of risk states) of militia activity with election.
