The Nightmare before Election Day, Part I

Of course, some states will assist you to be sure your vote counts – that’s my experience and Colleen’s, and probably others of us too.

The Nightmare before Election Day, Part II

Yes, I realize there are ridiculous likes, and particularly in communities of color. Frankly, black voters are heroes (as if they aren’t always.) Some states are making it clear, though, that law enforcement persons in uniform are ONLY allowed in polling places in order to cast their own ballots.

Apparently thiese are the only ones going up.  I gave it a good two hours past the end of the show.  If I’m wrong, and one or two more go up later, I’ll add in.

  1. Thanks, Joanne for these 🐝🐝. I really feel for all Americans who wanted or still want to vote in this election. The uncertainties must be a nightmare indeed.

You, Colleen and others may count yourself lucky to be notified your vote was recorded and will be counted.

    • Colleen and I are fortunate, yes, but we are also far from alone.  “44 states and the District of Columbia have online systems letting anyone who can vote by mail make sure their ballot arrived and is ready to be counted.”  I haven’t read the full article yet, but I suspect most of these systems are not new – I know mine isn’t – it was in effect prior to us going all-mail.  I suspect for many voters, the failure to have such a system in place would be a deal-breaker if all-mail balloting were ever proposed.

  2. W/watch later on.
    Thank you, Joanne.
