A very busy day today
Meidas Touch managed to get in two – WRT McCain, no he was not “a war hero because he was captured.” He was a war hero because after being captured he was given a chance to return to the US on account of his father’s stature. He refused. He said he would go home if ALL the other POWs were allowed to do so also. Even in a Republican, I can respect that. They don’t make that kind any more.

Really American – the title is familiar and the facts are familiar, but it seems to be a new presentation.

RVAT also has two new ones, both with Olivia Troye –

The Lincoln Project

Jillian is running in my Congressional district. I’m sorry to have to say she doesn’t have a prayer. I’m still terribly proud of her for running.

Rachel Maddow considered this important enough to tweet through maddowblog.

Trae on RBG

Russian native on social media propaganda

And more Ginsburg petitions:
POGO  If it comes up the wrong state, the only way to get it to the right one is to squeeze your full address including Zip Code into the tiny little space for address (it does expand.)
The first Daily Kos petition was basically “no new justice.” this one is “no new justice until after pandemic relief passed.”

  1. The “Good Guys” are CONSTANTLY destroying the proverbial “Triple Constraint” of Fast-Good-Cheap

ALL their “Rapid Response” teams are doing an absolutely incredible job of producing stellar videos almost instantaneously!

  2. Though I’m a great admirer of the sheer brilliance of most messages that come out at the moment on the progressive or even not so progressive side (we all call the good side), I’m afraid voters may be overcome by the sheer number of them. Surely some add fatigue must set in, so a little coordination between the different add makers may help to spread the message a little more evenly.

    • I think there is coordination going on when it comes to putting them on television.  Their appearance on YouTube does not necessarily mean their simultaneous appearance all over the country.  And of course the ones aimed at a particular state or district (of which i’m posting very few) will only appear in the state or district they address.

  3. Thanks for the marvelous collection. It is also noteworthy how many niche (not explicitly political) organizations are endorsing Biden and also doing petitions and/or letter writing campaigns on SCOTUS nomination.  It was no surprise to see the speed of the women’s advocacy organization, soon followed by environmental organizations and yesterday I began to also see from disability advocacy organizations.  With yesterday’s unanimous senate resolution about orderly transition from the election, I’ve begun adding language to the letter templates that not voting until after inauguration is the way to enact that commitment given Trump having stated he wants to use SCOTUS with new nominee to ensure his continuing in office. I also encourage using all the Senate rules permit to ensure no vote occurs sooner (both my senators are on the Judiciary Committee and one reputedly not on board for not pretending it is all normal business).

  4. Thanks JD.  Exhausted Hugs! 19
