It’s another sick painful day, here in the CatBox.  I slept most of yesterday afternoon and last night.  Nevertheless, I overslept this morning.  WWWendy retuned greetings.  This is my only article today, but I think it’s a good one.  I hope to publish an article on SCOTUS/SCROTUS (Supreme Court/Republican anti-Constitutional VD) tomorrow, which will be busy, because Diana is coming to check in on me.  Today is a Holy Day in the Church of the Ellipsoid Orb, and I shall meditate as my Broncos travel to Pittsburg where the Stealers will try to steal their victory.  I love you guys so much that I’m giving up part of my worship to finish this.  May the Holy Ellipsoid Orb bless you all.

US Cases: 6,971,365
US Deaths: 203,880
Plus thousands of Trump’s* GOP plague murders Republicans are hiding from us

Short Takes:

From NY Times: Letters sent in recent days to the White House and to local law enforcement agencies in Texas contained the lethal substance ricin, and investigators are trying to determine whether other envelopes with the toxin were sent through the postal system, a law enforcement official briefed on the matter said on Saturday.

Investigators believe that the letters were sent from Canada and have identified a woman as a suspect, the official said.

The letter to the White House, which was addressed to President Trump, was intercepted, as were the letters to a detention facility and a sheriff’s office in Texas.

The envelope to the White House was caught at the final off-site processing facility where mail is screened before being sent to the White House mail room, according to a second law enforcement official. The Postal Service irradiates mail that is addressed to the White House and other federal agencies in the Washington area, and the mail is sorted in a facility that samples the air for suspicious substances.

I say with confidence that the woman in Canada who did this was NOT our Sasquatch! As much as knowing that Trump* was playing sizzle-checkers with his perv-pal Jeff Epstein, accomplishing his physical demise is God’s job. Ours is limited to accomplishing his political demise. I suspect this may be a false-flag, perpetrated by Republicane to paint Democrats as violent criminals or to give Resident Bone Spurs* an excuse to declare war on Canada. However, I condemn all who approve, support, and take part in such acts. It wrong, no matter who does it.  RESIST!!

From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): Who is Amy Coney Barrett, Trump’s Front-Runner For Ginsburg’s Seat?

I think Republicans are most likely to go for confirmation in the “lame duck” Senate. If they make it appear that the left are winning this battle prior to the election, it could make Democrats feel overconfident. At the same time, this would send millions of desperate Republican Supply-side pseudo-Christians (the exact opposite of real authentic Christians) scurrying to the polls in an attempt to kill Roe v. Wade. These pro-death hypocrites think the right to life begins at conception and ends at birth.  After the election, GOP Senators can goose-step with their Fuhrer* and BBMMM with nothing left to lose.  RESIST!!

From YouTube (a blast of past protest): Emerson, Lake & Palmer – Lucky Man

Ah… the memories! Protest like the 60s!  RESIST!!

  1. Cartoon: Oh! But of course!
TVU: Same. #’s not gone up today, yay!
NYT: I too, agree. Can’t add anything to what you wrote so well, TC.
MSNBC: Packing them all in. No respect on the passing of RBG…at all. ugh!
    BOP: Excellent!
Sorry to read that you are still in pain…hope that you get better. Best to your guys, we play Baltimore today. Hope that you have a rest of your day, rest, and take good care, and Thanks, Tom.

*This just in: “That the first female Jewish Supreme Court Justice departed the evening of the most sacred moment of her religion just shows how highly thought of her and what she stood for. ~ L’shana T. ~
    2. “When we were in a task force meeting, the President said, ‘Maybe this COVID thing is a good thing. I don’t like shaking hands with people. I don’t have to shake hands with these disgusting people’ It’s always about him. ~ Ex Pence aide Olivia Troye ~
    3. “Mary Trump suggests that Joe Biden call donald trump ‘Donald’, instead of ‘Mr. President’; to get under his skin.”

  2. Cartoon: Sad. They’d rather bury us than to treat us.
TVU: Still climbing. Tuesday is when they’ll decide if businesses close again.
NYT: I agree with your comment. We may not like him, but that isn’t the way to take care of the problem.
MSNBC: I feel heartless tRump and his cronies are wrong even speaking about replacing RBG. Do like her last request was, to wait till the new president is elected.
    BOP: Great one.
Hope that your Broncos win. Enjoy the game.
Sure wish you were feeling better. Hopefully with it being Monday, you’ll hear more. Hope you’re visit with Diana goes well too.
    Take care. Thanks TomCat

  3. Since I love opera as much as you love the orb, I appreciate the depth of your love for us. I’m pretty sure it’s uunanimously requited.

Cartoon – It wouldn’t be if they had to pay for it themselves. But since they can borrow from undertakers, yes, of course.

    Map – 7 million in 3… 2… 1…

NYTimes – At an absolute minimum, it was misguided, although it did cross my mind it was a kind thought. You are in the right, one can’t approve. I’m inclined not to think it was a false flag unless he does indeed want to invadr Canada, simply becaue, were it a false flag, I suspect it would hav been postmarked from California or New York. That’s not evidence, just a feeling.

MSNBC – Your point is valid, but our side has to be ready to counter as soon as possible in order to up our chances of blocking them. How many Republican Senators would we have to kidnap to ensure a quorum with a Republican minority? (Just kidding, of curse.) Mitch (OUR Mitch) mentioned an article on three possible strategies, for which the link is here. (It’s behind a paywall, so here’s a link to another article derived from it.) To summarize, the number one way would be to advise Mitch that if he does this, we will increase the size of the court. We would need to be serious and not bluffing. His number two way is what you said, TC, and I concur, id McConnell bows to public opinion. But that will only put it off till after the election, not until after the inauguration. His third way is the same as the second with different motivation – hoping to save a few Senate seats. In other words, bottom line, is the first way is the only way. Unless we can kidnap some Republican Senators just ling enough to get them to lose that vote. Going forward, I do see one remote possibility – I am sure that least a couple of justices are impeachable – I’m thinking Thomas and Kavanaugh. Actually especially Thomas. His and his wife’s financial dealings are notorious. It’s just that no one has ever wanted to impeach a justice badly enough to investigate and prove it. Now we would – or should. I think that might just be easier to sell to Joe than enlarging the court. But maybe not. In any case, the original author (and the derivative one) end the article with “So all is not lost yet. But gear up for a fight. And as you do, always leave time in your mind for this remarkable, towering American. Everything we do in this corrupt period should be to honor all that she stood for.” I’ll be working on that.

    BOP – Yeah.

This is still valid till sunset:

    • There is a half a chance that Collins, dissembling thing that she is, might realize that if she votes against a new nominee, if it comes to that, before Nov. 3rd, she might stand a better chance of retaining the seat she does not deserve.  If she thinks of it that way, she might stick it to McTurtle.

      • The same is true of several Republican Senators – enough to postpone a vote till after the election.  Than what?  Then it will be a lame duck session ant they will have nothing to lose.  That’s what we need a plan for.

  4. MSNBC — Further to discussions about a replacement for RBG on SCOTUS, in an article from ABC News, Cruz cites possible contested presidential election in push to fill Ginsburg seat, Ted Cruz was recorded to have said

“An equally divided court, 4-4, can’t decide anything,” said Cruz, assuming there is a deadlocked outcome. “That could make this presidential election drag on weeks and months and well into next year. That is an intolerable situation for the county. We need a full-court on Election Day given the very high likelihood that we’re going to see litigation that goes to the court. We need a Supreme Court that can give a definitive answer for the county.” [emphasis added]

Even if RBG were not immediately replaced, which I hope is the case, there would still be 5 conservatives (including the Chief Justice) and 3 liberal justices.  and obviously that still constitutes a workable clear majority.  So what is the rush Republicans?

Now, if one of the conservative justices joined the liberals which is unlikely in my opinion, then there would be a tie with which the Court would have to deal.  This is only one decision, albeit a very important one, but what about all the other decisions ahead given that this is a lifetime appointment?  The crux of the matter for Republicans as I see it is to get someone in there for all the future possible decisions, the long haul so to speak.

Cruz further comments that Biden has said he will contest the election and used his hiring of lawyers as proof. George Stephanopoulos corrected Cruz to acknowledge that Biden did not say that and in fact (something with which Republicans have no acquaintance, not even a passing acquaintance), it was Trump who has repeatedly talked about a rigged election and not accepting the results, or at least disputing the results, if he does not win.  It is Trump who lawyered up first. Republicans have tied their fate to an unstable, indeed imploding star which will wipe them all out. They are just plain scared!

I think that Trump knows his re-election is on very shaky ground, although he will never acknowledge that publicly, and is trying to put his legacy on solid ground with conservatives with this lifetime appointment.

I am not even going to deal with the blatant Republican hypocrisy as displayed vis-a-vis the lack of a hearing for Merrick Garland in 2016 following the death of Scalia, which is so apropos.  This is an abuse of power from Republicans, clear and simple.

  5. Sorry you’ve been having more difficulties, on top of which the Steelers stole the victory!
‘Toon: Hey, that’s big business, too, is it not?
TVU: N. and S. america do not look good!
NYT: this smacks of more than is apparent.  How does one get hold of risen?  The plant from which it derives can be grown in one’s back yard, the leaves are big and beautiful, but the processing?  And, no, he ought not be assassinated.
MSNBC: I do not wish to know about the people on the list, because it has to be a list of major “deplorable,” like Cruz-thing.
    BOP: Love me some ELP!

  6. Rest assured your love is reciprocated 100-fold!

  7. Thank you for all the love you have shown us, TomCat, but you shouldn’t let us prevail above your worship of the Holy Ellipsoid Orb. You should enjoy yourself while you can.

3:32 Two would have been a bit much, don’t you think, TC?

Cartoon: Actually, I was thinking more of those mass graves they dug in New York.

Update: Shocking, just a few shy of 7 million cases.

NYT: I think we can all rest assured  that the person who did this was not of the callibre of our Squatch. However well intended – I think that is the intention behind sending this letter -it is terribly misguided. Violence must be condemned by all those who oppose Trump.

MSNBC: Your prediction of what might happen next is very plausible, TomCat, and sends shivers down my spine. I would hope it wouldn’t come to a vote before the elections, because this would be far to much to Trump’s advantage should he brings his electoral loss before SCOTUS but the scenario you predict is equally horrible.

BOP: I’ve always loved this ELP +song. Thanks for bringing it back to us.

  8. Thanks and OGIM Hugs to all! 19
