The more time that goes on, the more obvious it becomes that Resident Donald Trump*, traitor, criminal, and Fuhrer of the Republican Fifth Reich, cannot win the November 2020 election.  That leaves him two ways to try to cling to power.  Will he try to steal the election?  Failing that, will he ignore it?

CNN reporter April Ryan believes if President Trump loses the 2020 presidential election, he will have to be removed from the oval office by force.

Many have wondered whether Trump will leave willingly if he loses the election and what would happen if he refuses to concede to Joe Biden. Trump didn’t calm fears when he refused to give a straight answer about accepting a Democratic win on November 3.

During a Sunday appearance on CNN Newsroom with host Ana Cabrera, Cabrera asked Ryan and guest Bill Kristol about the president downplaying mail-in ballots and attempting to delay mid-term elections. Ryan responded calling Trump a hypocrite for using mail-in ballots himself and said he’s trying to suppress votes…  [emphasis added]

Trump Wielding Presidency Like An Autocrat: To Preserve His Power

Trump* is the symptom, not the disease.  Long before Trump* became Fuhrer of the Republican Reich, I have warned you over and over again.  Republicans will do whatever they can to establish a permanent, National Socialist, plutocratic Republican Reich.  They want elections to exist for show only, as they decide who gets to vote, and they count the votes.  Right now they have never been closer to achieving that goal.  We must stop them at all costs!

  1. Rachel (and you too) slam dunked how it’s gonna go down.
Very.Scary.Stuff that this diktator is planning on doing….to stay in the WH. ugh
I told the old man just this morning, that we may have to move (if dt gets re-elected)…somewhere to another country…but unfortunately, no one would take us, what with coming from a ‘sheet hole country’ now, and with closed borders, there’s no escape now. geesh! and oh, boy!

  2. I have had no doubt that he would try to fight to remain in office, trying “legal” remedies or other sorts. There are people out there who have been studying the issue in a very serious manner.  I liked Pelosi’s comment, a while back, about fumigating him out, if need be.  If he loses and refuses to leave, his term of office ends on 1/21/21 at Noon.  He will no longer be the Commander-in-Chief, and, I hope, armed forces people, or the FBI, who he’s crapped upon at ever opportunity, will gleefully “extricate” his sorry ass out of the WH.

  3. I’ll see your “How will he try” and raise you a “How to counter” from the New Yorker.  (Just a little peeve – what does Spellcheck think I should say instead of “Yorker”?  “York resident”?  It isn’t just a magazine title.)  Not being a subscriber, I “printed” and saved it for future reference.  A couple of points: first, a voter’s best strategy is to get a mail-in ballot as soon as possible and return it at a drop box.  The sooner the votes are in, the sooner they can be counted. Second, looking ahead, it’s never been done but it’s not impossible to hold a census do-over or extension.

This wasn’t in the article, but my Secretary of State, Jana Griswold, offered publicly (on national TV) to personally speak with any other Secretary of State about best practices.  We haven’t been doing this as long as Oregon (although for years before we had all-mail” we had the option to register as a permanent mail voter, and so many did that it assisted the passage of the all-mail legislation – too bad there’s o time for that now), but we do have exemplary ballot tracking, and that’s also a consideration.  Any voter can certainly write or phone his or her own Secretary of State and remind him or her of Ms. Griswold’s offer.

  4. Who would of ever thought in the year 2020 we’d be facing such a crazy off the wall issue like a stinking leader who’s done nothing for our country, could possibly pull a stunt like this?
Never in the history of the U.S. have we had a fool do this.
Why does this flipping idiot feel he can?
If he loses, he loses and he’s out. That’s the rules.
He must abide by them, otherwise to me, he will be removed/dragged out by military/or Federal authorities.

  5. I wouldn’t be surprised if, should Biden win (and I hope that I really mean when Biden wins!), a horde of tRump’s bugnut stooges decide to surround the White House and try to keep him in power. Ain’t gonna happen, Pappen. But what a sight to see when those knuckle-draggers square off against whatever forces arrive to force His Orangeness out!

  6. Trump is a psychopath whose brain has been (re)wired to let him believe he can’t lose. Ever! Every loss has been respun in his mind to become a win by blaming others and over time this behaviour has been strengthened by others, e.g. his family, the media, his associates, the 1% and now the whole GOP.

He cheats at golf, the game he’s not very good at despite all the practice he’s had, and he’s now cheating at being president in the upcoming election, pulling out all the stops Rachel mentioned. It is unclear if this will be enough to keep him in the White House or if Joe and Kamala will take over on January 21st.

What is clear what will happen if his cheating doesn’t have the desired effect and to all Americans except Donald Trump he loses the election. He will fight the outcome with all he has because he can’t lose, not in his mind. He will do everything to stay in power in the time leading up to January 21st. Then all will depend on how far his acolytes are willing to go in reinforcing his delusions, on how much they will have to lose when they let go of power.

When Trump will be draged from the bunker he’s been cowering in, he’ll still be screaming that he’s the greatest president America has had and that he’s won the election.

  7. Thanks, Hugs, and Amen to all! 02
