It’s that time of week again, and here are four fine video clips from Sam’s show last night.  Enjoy!!

The Things We Should Have Been Doing All Along! Brought to You By Coronavirus

Excellent points! The system that we use to redistribute recourses in the US was developed a couple centuries ago, are way out of date, and have been taken over by greedy billionaires and giant criminal corporations. We need to redesign the entire system to provide equitable treatment for the poor and middle classes.

How to Homeschool During a Pandemic

I don’t know how to best teach our children, but I can tell you who don’t know, and who do know. The Republican Reich don’t, and our wonderful teachers do!

Sam’s Coronavirus Time Capsule

Ditching the bras is fine, but PLEASE keep the contents!

Live From Sam’s Shed… It’s Vanessa Carlton!

I LIKE it!

Thanks Sam!

  1. W/watch ltr this evening…
    Thanks, Tom.

  2. Shoulda – But – but but but but – SOCIALISM! (And if you think any Trump* supporters will grasp the wisdom of any of this, because they will have seen with their own eyes that society doesn’t fall apart if we take care of each other, you are forgetting that Trump* supporters don’t believe their own eyes on anything that disagrees with Trump*.)

School – Even before the pandemic, a flourishing industry already existed to provide materials and resources for parents who were home schooling. In other words, a side effect of home schooling (for capitalists, a primary benefit) is undermining public schools in favor of schools for profit.

Bras – Who needs bras? Well, I do. I won’t go into the gory details about what happens if i don’t have one, but they exists. Now, that doesn’t mean I need a bra with wires, or a bra with “lift and separate,” or even a bra that looks pretty. A basic sports bra is more like it. And I make some of my own. But anyone who tries to come into my life and bury my bras is going to have a fight on his or her hands.

Shed – I especially like that it has CC. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by opera, since there are now titles in every house, not to mention every video, but while diction is great, and is important for a singer, it’s overrated for the audience. There are some things that even the best diction will not make clear.

  3. The Black Death ultimately led to many improvements in society, such as a stronger middle class, hospitals, better hygiene, and the rise of humanist thought. The COVID-19 pandemic has the potential to bring about a lot of positive change. Better late than never!

Homeschooling is a great way to make parents appreciate teachers. Let us hope this inspires more voters demanding more money for education – and better affordable education. Loved the rosé “problem” at the end – ain’t that the truth!

So, what would YOU put in a pre-COVID time capsule?

Vanessa Carlton can definitely deliver a lovely tune.

    • I’d make my capsule Hazmat compliant.  Them I’d lock criminal Fuhrer Trump*, pseudo-Christian Pence, and Bought Bitch Midnight Moscow Mitch inside.  Then I’s throw away the key! 26

  4. Sam 1: Crazy to see that something as important as auditing and distributing medical items was ignored all of these years. It’s too bad that it took an urgent medical crisis like Covid-19 to get it rolling. Hope it’s kept up to date from now on, in case we ever need these supplies in the future.
Sam II: It’s not going to be easy to get kids back into classrooms. Parents now are facing an added responsibility…teaching/homeschooling. It can be a challenge for some. I have to agree with Freya about parents having more appreciation for their kid’s teachers.
Sam III: Still wear one. When I love wearing the sports bra when exercising.
Sam IV: Enjoyed listening to Vanessa Carlton.

    • From what I have read, the Obama administration was on it – I mean, getting medical item ducks into a row.  The Trump* regime just tossed it all out.

  5. Thanks for posting, TomCat, but I’m too busy with COVID-19 Fact-checking, so Sam 🐝 will have to wait again until tonight.

  6. Thanks and TGIF Hugs to all! 23

  7. Sam Bee remains a breath of fresh air during times of fear…..and was also hilarious on NPR’s Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me….
