  1. Cartoon: There always seems to be one waiting in the wings…yes…BBMM!! ugh!
BFTP: Awww…Love this one, dearly. Everytime that I hear this song, I tear up. Like now.

Best to you Tom, to and fro and in between. I’m thinking of you today. Prayers UP for you!!

*This just in: “President Trump today @ the WH said to me, “Be nice. Don’t be threatening.” “I’m not the first human being woman, black, a person, journalist to be told that while doing a job. My take: Be steady, stay focused. Remember your purpose, and…Always press forward. ~ Yamiche Alcindor ~
    2. “Repugs had a chance to get rid of him, but didn’t. Look at where we are, they are as vile as he is.
    ~ Antoinette V. ~
    3. “If Trump searched for the missing ventilators as hard as he searched for Hillary’s emails, that’d be great!”
    ~ OD ~
    4. “Americans need to know date certain when this will end. (covid-19). The uncertainty for businesses, parents, kids is just not sustainable.” ~ Laura Ingram, Fox ~
reply –  “Hi, Laura. I just spoke with the Covid-19, and it told me it will stop killing people on Thursday, April 16th @1 p.m. The virus is asking if that works for you or would you like it moved to moon instead?” ~Call to Activism~
    5. “dt wants the country open by Easter. Do you know who doesn’t care?? Even a little bit?? The Virus.
    ~ Harry W. ~

    • #3 The only things Trump actually does humself don’t involve searching (at least not on his part).  But, yeah, if he had all the people on that job now he did then, that would indeed be great.

    • Another TJI – this one in reference to corporations who are requiring employees to sign over their stimulus “checks” to them:

“I get all the guillotine jokes. I do. but in a moment of crisis like this, those kinds of jokes are inappropriate and dangerous. You can’t maintain proper social distancing with a guillotine. Be responsible and use RANGED weaponry (at least 2 METER range) per CDC recommendations.”  @LMVTACAB

  2. Puzzle – 3:17

Cartoon – They’ve got a lot of them to replace Joe besides Mitch. There’s Lindsey Lenin, Ted Cruzsky and Devin Nunschev just to name a few.

Youtube – Great tune. I went too!

Hang in there Tom. We’re all praying for you. You’re always in my thoughts even if I’m not always here on PP.

  3. May everything go smoothly as possible for you, not least getting (and getting safely home with) pain meds.

    RIP Joseph Lowery

Cartoon – And the fear with which he filled the nation lasted way longer than he did. In the HUAC, with which we used to threaten each other in school at least up to 1960 to my personal recollection, but also in people’s hearts. And now it’s not just #MoscowMitch or even just him and *Trump. We have Steve Bannon and Steven Miller, Laura Ingraham and Sebastian Gorka, and a host of hate groups around the nation, many violent. Looking back, I kind of doubt I physically could have had kids even had I wanted any, but I am glad I didn’t.

I didn’t “go”; I more or less lived there. And, yea, I remember the song. I was, am, and always will be a deep introvert – not as bad as Linus (“I love mankind, it’s people I can’t stand”), but I do prefer people in small groups or as individuals to large groups. But that doesn’t mean I have ever tolerated the demonization of some groups over others. Not ever. It doesn’r mean I haven’t worked and spoken and fought for fair and equal treatment of everyone. Sorry to get so defensive – I really do know I don’t have to defend myself to anyone here.

  4. I’m back, safe and exhausted.  My cancer did not respond to the immunotherapy test.  I decided against the kind of chemo we had previously discussed.  I cannot abide a leaving a trail of shit (aka Republicans)  to the bathroom 2 – 3 times daily.  The doctor agreed and anticipated my request for a kind of chemo that may not be as effective, but whose side effects are less severe.  She will have a port installed in my chest for bi-weekly infusion of Docetaxel.  Dr.  Nameless, your input, please?  I’ll be needing JD’s  chemo cap.  If it does not work well, I’m probably looking at six months.  If it does, I might last a year or slightly more.  Good Night! 35

    • Thanks, for the head’s up, and info.
      Get that downtime, Tom.
Prayers and comfort to you always.
Good night, and rest well, my Friend.
      See ya tomorrow….

    • I trust you now have it.  It was supposed to have been delivered Friday.    As Pat says, you know we are all with you.

    • Will be praying for you that your body will take to the Chemo treatments. Glad to see that she went with the one that wouldn’t be so hard on you.
Hope you got your prescription that you needed.
We are all here for you. Let us know if we can help.
      Good night, Tom

    • Thank you all! 20

  5. I’m so sorry your cancer is not receptive to immunotherapy, the prefered choice as it is the least invasive. I’ll keep my fingers crossed during the Docetaxel treatment and hope it gives you an additional 6 months without nasty side effects. You must see Trump and the Republicans defeated, right?!

BFTP: Definitely memories…that of an innocent twelve-year-old girl with a crush on Scott McKenzie.

  6. Cartoon: Way are we so flipping lucky to get them?
BFTP: Great song. I went there when I was young.
    Take care. Thanks TomCat

  7. ‘Toon: Can you see Dumpy announcing anyone but Hillary, or Nancy?  He’d love him some of scumbag Mccarthy!
TC, sorry about the treatment issue. Quality of life is such an important part of the choices available now.
BFTP: I did not get there until 5/18, with not enough hair into which to put anything.  But, I did always love that song.

  8. Thanks hugs and Amen to all! 19
