  1. 8:06 My age-related loss of eye-hand coordination is starting to show. Fortunately, for most things, I have as much as I need.

Sheesh – what a day to have unexpected Republicosis. Not that it’s ever really expected, of course. Best of luck.

Cartoon – We surely could benefit from having him here. Sadly, though, some traits are recessive. We’d have them back again all too soon.

Cartoon 2 – Back at ya.

Map – West Virginia is still lying. Or, wait, isn’t West Virginia where that county is that orders and receives enough oxycontin to treat every man, woman, and child in the state? Or maybe the country? Maybe they just haven’t noticed yet. As for the map in general – all together now – “Well, that escalated quickly.”

Testing – But South Korea doesn;t have a killer dictator whom Orange Judas is in love woth.

  2. Cartoon: St. Patrick is my patron saint…and I see he’s doing an awesome job with this purge.
    Cartoon: How simply adorable!
TVU: Numbers go up every day…sadly..not good.

I sure do hope that you get to and fro okay, and I sure do wish you the best…take care!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you too, Tom.

This just in: “dt is a shambling medical encyclopedia of afflictions.” ~ Mark K. ~
    2. “Trump may be a carrier of COVID and (personally) I d/not believe he’s been tested.” ~Denise S. ~
    3. Praying for D’s and Ms. Pelosi that they all stay healthy.” *pb
    4. “dt’s racist tweet about the ‘Chinese Virus” and lack of empathy for those afflicted, and those suffering financially is sickening and disgusting. The virus won’t be gone in July or August — it will be gone in November when he is not re-elected! ~ Nancy M. ~
    5. “Notice no one is peaking for dt? The more he speaks, the more tapes he is making for ads in Sept/Oct. Sting him with his own words.” ~ Bill K. ~

  3. I’m safely home, but I’m afraid I have some very bad news.  I have stage IV metastatic cancer, and my chances of surviving one year with radiation and chemo is less than 50%.  That hind of news is like waking up in bed with a Republican.  01

    • Tough and motivated people like you have beaten worse odds than that.  YUou have our support – whatever happens.

    • I am so, so sorry for your news!  This is not what you wanted to hear!  I felt like the last health update hit me between the eyeballs and knocked me cold!  This is even more difficult!  As I previously said, to me you are immortal . . . mangy but immortal!  Know that you are loved immensely and are in our prayers every night.  If you feel whisker tickles, that’s my kids.  To help keeping your spirits up, keep imagining that you are kicking every Republican butt out of the country permanently!

    • So sorry to learn of this bad news.

Take a little time and think about what you feel comfortable doing WRT a medical game plan.

But definitely setup a support system locally.  We’ve got you covered for an online community – so please don’t be shy about asking for assistance that can be provided long distance.

We know you definitely want to stick around to help vote *Rump OUT. So use those kinds of tools as motivation.

    • I am truly sorry to hear of the medical news you were given today.
I pray that you can step back and take some time to figure out your options  regarding Chemo/Radiation.
You have been so strong and feel that you can show them that you will make it thru these tough times.
I will continue to pray for you each and every day.
That you can remain strong and fight.
We are all in this together, Tom. Hugs your way.

  4. That is bad news, damn.  Sorry, sorry, sorry.  Nonetheless, if you can, keep on trucking, and don’t go until they drag you out kicking and screaming all the way; then, relax.
    ‘Toon: Faster, faster!
    ‘Toon: Happy!
TVU: W.Va. lost it’s state abacus?  Everybody but the governor has “Run away?”  “Big Coal” has a strangle hold on all the communications systems?  They are trying, mightily, to create a new stereotype for themselves.  We already had “Know Nothings” in politics.
Apparently, it has been determined that for every death there are 800 unknown cases waiting in the wings. And that chart is a week old.
Voted today!  Wife voted today!  Shit, can we do it again tomorrow?
This just in: “Trump will forever be known as the president that was so full of shit the country ran out of toilet paper.”

  5. Maybe you will live to see a female VP; maybe even a black female VP!

  6. Kicking and screaming aside, that was a knee-jerk response.  Given your new situation, you have a major decision to make about the radiation and chemo.  Since none of us are getting out of here alive, I’ve been into the ideas of Death with Dignity, for some time.  Living to the full, in whatever peace you can find is an option.  If you’d like me to shut the hell up, about this stuff, just say so.

  7. Oh….OH! Tom!
I am deeply saddened by your news.
I wish, oh! how I wish that the report was better for you.
If there is anything I can do…please let me know. Take good care, every day, Tom.
Now to go wipe my eyes of tears, and get my ‘big girl pants’ on.

  8. Cartoon 1: I agree with Mitch, Faster Faster.
Cartoon 2: Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you too, TomCat
TVU: It’s hit all states. Sad knowing that there isn’t an end in sight. They are extending the shelter in place by months. Scary in so many ways.
    Take care. Thanks TomCat

  9. I’m so terribly sorry that the prognosis you got yesterday is even worse than you were given earlier, TomCat. I can understand that you now would need some time to think about what options are left for you and how they would fit in with a certain quality of life you want to maintain for yourself.

Please take all the time you need to make some very important decisions. I’m so sorry that the COVID-19 virus and the terrible handing of its outbreak will only make things even more difficult. For one thing, it’ll limit visits from people, so I would suggest setting up a lot of Skype/WhatsApp/whatever connections besides PoliticsPlus to keep up actual face-to-face personal contacts.

But whatever all other uncertainties, be assured of three things, dear friend; we love you, we’re here for you and we have your back.

  10. Cartoon — Faster, faster, faster St Paddy!!!  And more of them too!!!  Use that stick if you have to!

Cartoon — Happy St Catrick’s Day to all!

Trump Virus — Canada needs to do more testing but having said that, we have one tenth the population of the US and have done more tests.  BC Premier Hogan said that BC alone has done more testing than the US and BC has a population of about 5 million.  Alberta has done over 5,000 tests; Ontario 4,500 tests; and about 1,700 from Québec and the Maritimes.  These numbers are several days old.

From Common Dreams, here is a visual reminder of how to solve the virus called Trump:

    Vote BLUE no matter who!!!

I am so very sorry about your test results TC.  That is bad news.  My little crew and I say prayers for you every night and that will continue.

  11. BTW, this link is to a chart created by a 17 year old in Washington state.  He was interviewed by Democracy Now.  It is very interesting and it updates automatically.
