Feb 282020

It’s a busy day, here in the CatBox.  I was able to keep the last three meals down.  I usually have the most trouble at breakfast and wonder if my morning pills are blocking the tiny opening around the tumor.  I have my Medicare Advantage company researching liquid prescription alternatives.  Today is my PET Scan.  I’ll get the results sometime next week.  I’ll get home at around 1:00 PM, and by the time I change clothes, put everything away, and prepare and eat lunch, I’ll have a very short nap at best, so you may not hear from me until tomorrow.  Hopefully, I’ll be back in the saddle then.    Remember: Democrats debate, Republicans masdebate!  TGIF to all!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:35 (average 5:49).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

  1. Fingers crossed on your PET scan!

  2. Cartoon: Yup!
That’s great! Glad that you’re keeping down your food. Can you take your meal first before taking your a.m. pills? jw…
I also wish you well on your visit and on your scan too, and that you get home safely. Get your rest, take good, good care, and Thanks, Tom.

*This just in: “Perhaps Pence is the best person to be put in charge (of the Coronavirus), since he’s been going to great lengths to avoid contact with 50% of the population since he took office.” ~ Dan D. ~

    • #2 reminds me that anther innocent victim of this debacle is the Co-Artistic-Director (with her husband David Finckel) of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center – Wu Han. It’s probably entirely different characters in Chinese, but Americans won’t hear that.

  3. I’m running late, and I remember this one as a B. And you can’t eat it anyway.

We will wait patiently to hear results – if not interpreted yet, at least how the day went

You may remember Congressman Sean Maloney (D-NY) from when he got in (good) trouble for purchasing tampons for his female staff. At the time he was in a primary with Tish James for New York State Attorney – she is doing fine. He is still in Congress (he eviscerated Gordon Sondland during the impeachment investigation, for one thing.) Well, he’s now getting props today for his testimony on a subject very, very dear to his heart.  (hanky alert).

Cartoon – Yes. Power does corrupt. Sometimes it takes a long time. They have dwindled back into a single issue party … with options …anti-abortion and anti-LBGTQ and anti-immigrant.

Past – don’t remember this one.

    • Mega Props to Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney!
The world needs MORE like him – and fewer like Q-Tip Head VP Pence & his homophobia.

  4. Lift was late, but home safe.  Hugs! 35

  5. Good luck with the PET scan.
‘Toon:  That’s where the Dixie-Crats came from, and then left after Johnson and the Voting rights Amendment.  So, the GOPIGGIES are nothing but Anti-Anything -Humane!
Dion: Wow, sounds like something Dumpfucker could relate to!

  6. Pat’s #4 is marvelous.  The #3 is both the virus, and himself!

    • Re #4 – Hawking certainly spoke more elegantly that the old folk saying (which today’s folk seem to have forgotten or disavowed) – “It ain’t what you don’t know that’ll hurt you, it’s the things you know that ain’t so.”

  7. Hope travelling and pet scan go well, TomCat.

Good idea to ask for your medication in liquid form. Pills have a tendency to stick even in a healthy gob.

    3:16 Rundown tape measure.

Cartoon: Good old times before Democrats and Bananarepublicans changed places.

BFTP: It’s from before my time, but I do know the song. Must be a cover I’m familiar with.

  8. Glad testing and transport went OK and that swallowing challenges episodic rather than constant. Hope liquid alternatives are possible.  Have kept you in daily prayers/

  9. Thanks and pooped sickley hugs to all! 23
