It’s a very tired day here in the CatBox. Last night was so muggy and humid that I kept waking up wet and itchy. I ate a small bowl of soup for lunch yesterday, a small bowl of chili (without the chili), rice and Brussels sprouts for supper, and a small bowl of cheerios this morning. I kept it all down with minimal discomfort. WWWendy comes tonight for some much needed destinking. Happy Hump day to all.

Iran could have employed much more accurate missiles in their inventory. This was a very measured response, designed for local propaganda, while stepping back from war. I hope that War Criminal Trump* lets it end here. I fear that he will not. Rachel is spot-on! RESIST!!
From TPM: Former Vice President Joe Biden said that he predicts Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) may become “mildly cooperative” in a post-Trump era.
“I’m not suggesting all of a sudden everyone’s going to project a new sense of courage and political courage,” Biden said at a campaign event in New York. “What I’m suggesting [is] that the dynamic changes when the right vote, as opposed to the vote you don’t agree with, becomes a possibility if you vote for it.”
Biden has gotten in hot water with progressives before for his optimistic vision of a bipartisan future, though he tried to give his perspective more nuance in the most recent Democratic debate.
I think Biden’s eyes used to be blue. However, his belief that Bought Bitch Moscow Mitch will be anything but criminally uncooperative means Joe is so full of shit his eyes have turned brown. RESIST!!

MSNBC – Thank you. I expected to get the facts here today and am not disappointed. Iran is doing a great job of making us look like the rogue state that we are. I do hope cooler heads prevail (I still think their best retaliation would haVe been against the closest Trump Towers to him. Yes, I realize they are pretty much franchises now, but it would certainly send a message. He cares about his name. He doesn’t care about the United States, and certainly not about anyone in the military. Rachel is, as you say, spot on. She won’t be heard by people who most need to hear her – but few if any of them are capable of divided attention anyway.
TPM – I think #MoscowMitch’s idea of being “mildly cooperative” is refraining from actually spitting in Democratic faces. That could happen. What Joe means by it, won’t happen. And I don’t think I would want it to. Republicani delendi sunt.

MSNBC: On TV, at the gym: Trump says that no Americans were hurt by the attacks, and that it seems that Iran is “standing down.” Will the jackass be able to leave it at that, or will his impeachment panic drive him to still more reckless behavior. Maybe he’ll direct a missile attack on Bolton’s house, and claim it was the Iranians.
TPM: Biden is an accident waiting to happen. His optimistic view of the GOPIGGIES is virtually delusional, I believe. I’ll vote for him, if he gets the nod, but then i’ll hold my breath, for a while. I can’t imagine what his acceptance, or victory speech will look like.
Airplane: Wonderful! so, the guy on tambourine, in the brown jacket, David Crosby by chance?

MSNBC: As always Rachel connects the dots that so badly needs connecting. And it seems that her arguments have worked to help his aides discouraging Trump to take it any further. And because he never had any plan beyond the killing of Soleimani of course. But we all can rest assured that Trump will keep taunting Iran whenever pressure mounts again.
TPM: More proof that Biden would be the worst choice as Democratic candidate for the presidency. He sucks up a little bit more to Republicans with every passing day. Democrats seem to be heading for a repeat of 2016.

Read where Iran gave warnings so personnel could be evacuated from the target areas so the countries reporting all said no deaths or injuries…they could have hurt/killed if they wanted to yet chose to avoid war crimes like DT prefers
PLEASE! The last time CCC got federal funding to upgrade my building I got kicked out, and lived in a tiny room for over six months, before I finally moved here. I do NOT want to get kicked out again!
