From their overwhelming turnout in the 2018 midterm election that flipped the House to Democrats, to yesterday when Speaker Pelosi stood up to the Bully-in-Chief, it looks like if America is going to be saved it’ll be because of women!

Let’s savor yesterday’s delicious moment when Speaker Pelosi – the only woman at the table – stood up to confront Trump before walking out.  Captured in the portrait photo filter below, that moment became an instant icon. School children decades from now will be able to easily identify the protagonist and antagonist – and cheer Pelosi’s heroic bravery.

While Trump thought he’d score a victory in posting the photo and degradingly calling her “Nervous Nancy”, Pelosi easily trumped him by turning the tables and making it her Twitter page cover photo.

No doubt we all saw that moment more like this:

Combine that with what she said to his face, and we have a fantastic rallying cry for the 2020 elections.

It was clearly a moment that everyone in the room realized was a game changer. You can see it in the body language of the three generals and advisors to Trump’s right. If they could make themselves any smaller, they would have.

And we know what they were thinking …

Naturally the Twitterverse stepped in to add insult to Trump’s fragile ego.

And my favorite:

On a serious note, Lawrence O’Donnell has a spot-on analysis of the events of yesterday:

I think a fair summary of where we are at, at this moment in time can be summed up in a paraphrase of Trump’s own words …

  1. OMG…now THIS is awesome!
Love the pics, and ‘Filthy Mouthed Wife’ sounds like my kind of gal.
Nancy P. rocks! and rules her kingdom. and ‘his’ too.
Can’t add anything to this great post.
    Thanks, Nameless.

  2. Surfing the internet comment sections ut facio, I thought I had seen just about all one could see.  But you found some doozies which are completely new to me.  Kudos!  And thanks for the laughs!

  3. I had some doubts about Nancy Pelosi when she became Speaker of the House but, boy, has she redeemed herself in my eyes. Since she finally decided to go for impeachment, that woman has been on a roll. The fact that she was the only woman in the room and the one who dared to stand up to this imposter is historical on so many levels.

It showed a bit in the way Schumer and Durbin kept cutting her words short and put themselves forward again in the Democratic Leadership press conference after they walked out of Trump’s meeting. They weren’t letting her have her moment of glory, so I’m very glad you gave her that well-deserved attention, Nameless. Thank you.

  4. Great job, Nancy.
All of this time, she has been so hesitance about going full speed ahead in regards to tRump’s impeachment.
Nancy sure must of gotten a bolt of powerful energy that encouraged her to finally stand up against tRump’s  shenanigans.
Glad that whatever it was, happened. I’m so proud of her.
Wonderful post, TomCat. I really got a kick out of the photos and your great captions.

  5. Love it!  Someone will make a rug out of that picture, and it will sell like hot cakes!  Thanks, Nameless! 46

  6. Thanks Nameless for giving her the credit she deserves recognizing how often men rob women of it and try to take it themselves (e.g., DEM debate and Biden trying to take from Warren CFSB credit)…also glad O’Donnell sees it, yet feel like he may have gone a tad overboard, too.

  7. I have said for many years (back to Golda Meir days in Israel) that women would do a much better job of running the world, the affairs of state.  Pelosi shows why!  Kudos to her!!!  And the pained and stunned look on Trump’s face is priceless.  She is so much better than him!

    There are two sayings:
    1) Behind every great man (especially if his greatness is only in his own head) there is an even greater woman.
    2) Men do many things, but if things are to be done properly and more efficiently, ask a woman.

    Well done Nameless!  03
