Do you remember Nambia? According to the Republican Reich, Africa is full of shithole countries, so when their Fuhrer, Resident Donald Trump, needed a good nation on that continent, he praised Nambia, a country that does not exist. Now, someone suggested to the Fuhrer that he can buy a country full of white people, Greenland. As a Republican, he’s do stupid that he actually believed it.
President Donald Trump is reportedly very interested in buying Greenland from the Danish government — and Copenhagen-based newspaper Berlingske is having a field day mocking him over it.
In the wake of a Wall Street Journal report about the president instructing his advisers to come up with a way to buy Greenland from Denmark, the Danish publication has written multiple articles deriding the president for believing its government will be eager to hand him such a massive piece of territory.
One piece in Berlingske, for example, talked with multiple experts about the feasibility of buying Greenland and was headlined, “Eksperter om Trumps forslag: Han skyder sig selv i foden,” which roughly translates to, “Experts on Trump’s proposal: He shoots himself in the foot.”
The paper’s leading editorial of the day, meanwhile, is titled “Nej, Donald Trump kan ikke bare købe Grønland, men…” — or “No, Donald Trump can’t just buy Greenland, but…” — and it included references to Trump’s “circus” presidency…

One small nit to pick WRT “buy a country full of white people”: 88% of Greenland’s population are indigenous Greenlandic Inuit. Only 12% are Danes.

You know, Greenland’s population is not as dumb as his base. Even if they were in the market to sell, they would not consider a buyer who has never PAID for anything.
It does have a historical precedent. Jefferson bought the Louisiana Territory. Seward, a member of Lincoln’s cabinet, negotiated the purchase of Alaska. But those made sense. Neither, for one thing, was a sovereign nation.
Rachel, don’t worry- about him. There is no joke that is too mean to play on a man who separates families and locks children in cages.
The fact that Trump isn’t able to grasp that a joke has been played on him and that he keeps returning to the ‘possibility’ of buying Greenland from Denmark, once again shows both how demented and how devoid of a sense of humour he is. He doesn’t understand the concept of a joke and once an idea has set in his ravished brain, there’s no way of talking it out of it.
Could somebody please suggest he’ll be made the king of America if he stops running for president in 2020?

I’m with Bette Midler — make the dolt find Greenland on a map. I would add, make him put a detailed business plan together for the purchase including pros and cons . . . and no assistance accorded. Trump could not do either of these things.
It seems like Polk’s famous line “54 40 or fight” is coming back with Trump only Trump is taking it to a whole new level.
Praising a country that doesn’t exist? Getting Toledo and Dayton mixed up? Wanting to buy Greenland? The Orange One is losing it. I have read several articles by respected psychologists who say tRump is showing symptoms of dementia. So, what the hell would he do with Greenland anyway? He is definitely demented!
Demented — absolutely!!! I think he wants Greenland as an Arctic presence because the Chinese and Russians are making moves in the Arctic. The US has had a military base there for years. I have 2 things to say about that . . . no to buying Greenland, and stay away from Canada which has a big piece of the Arctic! Pompeo even challenged Canadian sovereignty in the Arctic. Republican peasant!
