It’s another muggy day here in the tiny old CatBox and I’m very tired. I missed half my nap yesterday, because my Store to Door driver was 90 minutes late. Then I got to bed late, because WWWendy was late, and after my supper, I need to digest for at least an hour before I lie down. Excessive humidity makes my little A/C less efficient. That won’t be a problem in the shiny new CatBox with a built in A/C unit. 🙂

From The New Yorker: Following the resignation of its Ambassador to the United States, Kim Darroch, the government of the United Kingdom has disclosed that it has been unable to find a replacement for Darroch who does not also think that Donald J. Trump is a blithering idiot.
At a press conference at 10 Downing Street, the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, revealed that the search for a new ambassador who does not believe that Trump is an imbecile has thus far come up empty.
“We did not want a repeat of the unfortunate Kim Darroch incident, so we made the first question on the job application, ‘Do you think Donald Trump is a moron?’ ” May said. “So far, none of the applicants has checked the ‘no’ box.”
May acknowledged that the government might have to expand its search for applicants beyond those with diplomatic experience in order to find a replacement for Darroch who does not consider Trump a dolt.
Dang, Andy! Somewhere in the UK, there must be a Brexit Bridiot, who wants to adopt Trump as Fuhrer. RESIST!!

Rachel – Doesn’t it seem that they are using Acosta as a test case to see how far they can push the position of “Yeah, I broke the law. So what? What are you going to do about it? Screw you.” I’ve been feeling for a while that they were doing this gradual pushback against the law itself, and this really looks like the next step to me. I suppose Rosenberg couldn’t have gone that far without opening himself to a slander suit – but I think I must say it.

Rachel Maddow: Acosta made things worse for himself by making it evident that he made the deal with Epstein because bog money and big names were involved, opening the door to suspicions (make that certainty for Democrats) that he will do so again as a member of Trumps cabinet. So for this reason alone he should be fired, but won’t be.
MM: Sorry, not going to watch anything elated to Faux News right now.
TNY: If Boris doesn’t get elected to Tory party leader and PM, and there sadly is little chance of that, he might be the right candidate for the job, though he’s a viper and may even be behind the leaks of Darroch’s emails.

I am very happy for you with the new digs! You have enough room to do wheelies in your chair! I am motoring along with physio but my hand now aches all the time. The lack of strength and the soreness of my thumb and surrounding tissues mean turning doorknobs is a thing of the past for now. If I need to cut meat, I generally cannot and I must look like a barbarian biting into the meat stuck on the end of my fork. I will just have to keep up with the physio and hope for the best. I am not interested in the surgery at this point since I live alone. Take care.
I hope you hand keeps improving. I have the opposite problem. I can cut meat, but with one tooth, I cannot chew it.
The microwave will go on a table at wheelchair level.
