It’s a muggy, lazy day, here at the CatBox.  WWWendy and I stuffed ourselves on ribs.  I fell asleep, before the fireworks started and slept through them.  It’s a slow day for news.  I’m not going to write a Bone Spurs article about how Revolutionary War “citizens” stormed the airports at Ft. McHenry.  Therefore. this is my only article today, with no links messages on Care2.  Later I have to wrap the TomCat around more ribs.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 4:15 (average 6:28).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (Parody Project Channel): 4th of July – National Anthem New Verse

Amen Don! Those are the core values, upon which Republicans are trampling. RESIST!!

From YouTube (a blast from the past): Pink – Dear MR President OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO

Ah! The memories! RESIST!!

From Think Progress: Anchorage, Alaska, broke its own state record on the Fourth of July, recording a high of 90 degrees Fahrenheit — five degrees above the previous record of 85 degrees Fahrenheit, set in 1969.

The National Weather Service in Anchorage warned of high temperatures earlier this week, explaining that a building high-pressure ridge would blanket the state in a heat wave. Climate researchers have said the unprecedented high temperatures are “unusual.”

“It’s entirely possible that the warmest temperature ever recorded in Anchorage could be exceeded three to five days in a row,” Brian Brettschneider, a climate researcher at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, told NBC News. “That’s the definition of unusual.”

I sadly suspect that the Republican Reich has the following solution. They will soon me marketing the corpses of extinct species as 1% gourmet food. RESIST!!

Cartoons:

Pam may not see this, because she is in Kenya.

  1. PPC: Very well spoken and sung. Their voices blend together so well too!!

Pink: Sad. Words are appropriate for today also.

TP: This is happening in real time, and with a dire warning. More fires, floods, and extreme climate changes. Gawd. what have we done? It is so, so, sad!!

Cartoon: Happy Birthday Pam, hope that you have a wonderful and fun day!!
Cartoon2: I did not know that !! lol

Hope that you get your rest, enjoy your day, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

*This just in: “Man the airports!” ~ George Washington ~

  2. happy birthday Pam…….

  3. Well, who doesn’t just LOVE a little chocolate confection cake for a special Birthday … or any time?

    Happy B-Day, Pam!

  4. 4:57 Nothing to eat here.

Other PP – This is not even political – it is basic ethics (well said and beautifully presented). What actual human being could disagree? I don’t think anyone can br certain that those who are “boycotting” Nike again (this time over a non-existent shoe) are actual human beings.

Pink – Don’t remember this one at all.

TP – And you can include humans among those extinct species.

Cartoon – Many Happy Returns, Pam!

  5. PPC: Great tune.
Pink: Never heard this one before, but sure with tRump would listen to it. It’s fits him perfectly.
TP: The weather has been a bi*ch all over the world. We had high heat, rains/floods in areas that have been so extreme. Wish there was a way to balance it. Plus it would make me way happier to hear that our leaders are going to start paying attention to the Climate Change issues.
Cartoon: Happy Birthday Pam. Hope you had a nice one.
Glad to hear that you, TC and Wendy enjoyed the ribs and had a nice 4th.

  6. Thanks and Hugs to all. 22

  7. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PAM!
    PPC: Very nice!
    Pink: So well put!
TP: Alaska bakes, Europe bakes, California is dry, and we remain out of the Paris accord, with ur president’s head in the sand.
