Here’s the problem.  It’s 90° weather.  CCC has not gotten my own AC to me.  They did give me a loaner unit, but jury rigged the installation.  There a 2″ square of open window in a place I can’t reach to patch or plug.  Worse yet, the exhaust tube does not seal properly, so some of the hot air is venting into the room instead of being pumped outside.  It was over 80° here last night.  My COPD is horrid.  Please expect no more than a Personal Update tomorrow.  This is today’s only article.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 2:48 (average 4:51).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

Four from Real Time Channel:

Monologue: The Resistance is Futile

When pigs fly out of Putin’s ass? We know one has flown in: Trump’s nose. RESIST!!

Congressman Tim Ryan

Tim should not be confused with the infamous Lyin’ Ryan. I think he’s in it to build name recognition for the future. RESIST!!

Michael Lewis: Why Government is Good

The only time that government is the problem is when the Republican Reich destroys it. RESIST!!

New Rule: The Great Wife Hope

Of the two, Melania is worse off than Jerry. RESIST!!

  1. Ryan is the stereotype of a mediocre politician.
What does he mean when he says the country has had enough of our socialist programs?
At least he understands that future growth will come from promoting clean energy and cars. Solutions that have been around for decades, that we (as a country) never acted on. What a waste of time.
    Ryan cannot beat Trump.

  2. 4:37 I see why it’s hummingbird bait, but I can also think of flowers whose closeups look better to humans.

And to think, I have the heat AND a space heater on. Go figure.

Bill – Monologue – “Broke-ahontas” Funny. How about “Sack-o’-da-wee-wee” for an alternate.

Michael Lewis – Wow. The details of the transition explain a lot. I’m not reading much any more, but I may have to get this book and read it closely.

Tim Ryan – Well, he’s welcome to try. I wonder whether he will make it into the debates … since there is a threshold candidates must meet to get in, either by polling or by fundraising.

Cartoon – Democrats also HAVE them. Only Republicans F**K them

  3. Monologue: “We’re not the Resistance, he’s the Resistance. So true. Nyet to Trump!

2: A little rundown of Mr. Ryan. A good field of dem candidates.

3: WoW! Good video. I’d like to go work at the Dept. of Agriculture….for one day. jk. lol

4, I agree, dt & Murdoch are cousins to the ‘Night King’. jmho.

Geesh, Tom, that sounds like neglect to me…re: your AC. Their excuses don’t make it, if one is feeling horrible every single day! as it’s effecting your health, and needs to be fixed. Can you report this? state/or/county? I sure hope that you get your unit back, and put in, professionally, I might add. In the meantime….TRY and take good care, and thanks for the update on your situation.

*This just in: “I regard my role here with my male colleagues who haven’t had the experience of growing up female, and don’t fully appreciate the arbitrary barriers that have been put in women’s way.” ~ Ruth Bader Ginsberg ~

  4. Bill #1: Hopefully, Barr’s contempt citation will (someday?) lead to his indictment, and jail.  Meanwhile his OTHER ghostwriter is spilling the beans on the laziest pig in the poke.
Bill #2: I like this Ryan, not for president, now, but his presence in the Mid-West could force more of the Dems to talk about some of the issues he’s saying he champions.  Bill did bust his chops, some.
Bill #3: Lewis is onto T-dump as the compleat imbecle who does not give a damn. I must agree, so much of what we are dealing with goes back to St. Reagan…not that you’ve not herd that from before.
Bill #4: “…who’s wearing the head in this horse costume.”  A perfect depiction of the real Axis of Evil.  I saw a book in the library, yesterday, a biography of Roger Ailes.  I just noted it, have no interest in reading about him, have no interest in Murdoch except in awaiting his departure.  It was delightful, years ago, to hear of the departure of J. Edgar.

  5. I watched the show last night.
Like Bill was mentioning, tRump seems to continue thinking that he is above the law.
I pray that the Democrats start being more aggressive and sticking to getting these creeps slapped with whatever can get them locked up.
I hope you can call the CCC first thing Monday morning and get the A/C issue taken care of. You need to stress to them what it’s doing to your health, that you don’t wish to get readmitted into the hospital again. Is there a way to roll up a blanket or something thick to stuff around the opening? Maybe if Wendy will be around you two can think or try something to temporary take care of it?

  6. YIKES!

What can we do to help remedy this situation?

    Surely there must be SOMETHING!

    • I wish there were. 13

    • File a police complaint?  Not exactly theft, but unlawfully failing to return his property – it might of course be a tort.  I looked around a little and found this. I realize the situation may be different when you are still with the same landlord but in a different location, and even more so when the landlord it the state.

  7. Thanks for caring, everyone. 35
