It’s another busy day here in the CatBox.  The motor in my refrigerator is going bad, so CCC is swapping it today.  WWWendy had hoped they could fix the old one.  She had a bunch of stuff stored on top of it.  I know it will be smaller than the old one and hope it isn’t too much smaller, as I just put groceries away yesterday.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:41 (average 5:27).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): The Secret Explaining Mitch McConnell’s Endless Enabling Of Trump

Bought Bitch Mitch may appear to be congenial, but that’s all an act. He’s a goose stepping, Koch sucking Republican that bends over and grabs his ankles whenever Putin’s Pervert barks at him. RESIST!!

From YouTube (CNN Channel): Julian Assange has been arrested

Once he was a hero.  Then he sold out.  I hope that SOB finally gets comeuppance for his services to Trump and Russia in the election theft of 2016. On the other hand The Tangerine Traitor may give him a Cabinet post. RESIST!!

From The New Yorker: The shakeup in the Trump Administration continued on Wednesday as Donald Trump named a fellow television personality, Lori Loughlin, to be the new Secretary of Education.

In making the announcement, Trump praised Loughlin for her “disruptive approach” to college admissions and expressed hope that she could bring the same brand of innovative thinking to the Department of Education.

He brushed aside reporters’ questions about the means by which Loughlin obtained college placements for her two daughters. “No one here has a problem with that,” he said. “I know Jared doesn’t.”

Andy, as horrid as Loughlin’s admission scam was, isn’t she an improvement over Barf Bag Betsy?  RESIST!!

Republicans want to destroy it.

  1. 6:13 Too cold here today for any such outdoor goings-on. Supposed to snow this morning.

Mitch – I just can’t get my head around anyone thinking him congenial. The man who said “My goal is to make Obama a one-term President”? The man whose proudest moment was when he looked Obama in the eye and said, “Mr. President, you will not fill this seat”? The man who threatend Obama AND THE FBI with ruin if they dared to suggest Russian interference was taking place in the 2016 election? Congenial? Him? I can’t see it.

A$$ange – I’m going to disagree – he was never a hero – he just CONvinced a lot of people that he was. Incidentally, in photographs taken at the actual time of the arrest make him look like the Son of Saruman. A bit different from the photos in this video.

TNY – Yes, she would be an improvement over DeVos. Therefore, Traitor Tot will not tap her. Nice to have Andy back on satire, even if only briefly.

Cartoon – That was a good day for democracy and humanity. There have been too few such days in our history.

  2. MSNBC: MM is a cad. He’s an enabler for dt, and talks on the side of his mouth. Says one thing, then enables dt. I have no faith in him. 66 Trump judges confirmed? His tactics are a disgrace.

CNN: My, how he’s aged! Screaming and shouting when police put him in the wagon. Gonna get new diigs if and when he reaches the US.

NYer: omg, this is hilarious. Yeah, she’d be an improvement, for sure.lol Put anyone else in there besides BBBetsy, as it would be an improvement.

Cartoon: Thank the Lord for this. Yeah, they’re (R) trying. real hard to destroy anything good.

Gee, hope that the refrig swap goes well. Hope that you have a good rest of your day, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

*This just in: “Sadly, George Washington died from windmill cancer and was largely forgotten over time. If only he’d named the building after himself.” (Mount Vernon). ~ R. J. ~

  3. I’m not sure what to think of Julian Assange these days. Is he still a hero, or like Benedict Arnold has he gone from hero to villain?

  4. MSNBC: McConnell needs to shove his tombstone!  May they defeat him, and kick his ass out of town!!!!!
CNN: Cabinet post?  Bet on it!
New Yorker:  She would probably be a vast improvement!

  5. MSNBC:  I can’t wait until he is defeated in Kentucky.

CNN:  It will be interesting to see what happens to Assange.  Lawyers on MSNBC said it takes a long time to extradite from the UK to the US and this may take longer than usual due to freedom of speech and the press issues.

NYer:  Andy is a hoot.  She would probably be better than DeVos.

Cartoon:  A truly great day in history.

I hope the fridge swap goes well.  Thank you for all you do TomCat.

  6. 3:36 Those colours energized me.

MSNBC: I must have missed it, but I no clearer on what that secret explaining Mitch McConnell’s Endless Enabling Of Drumpf is. It’s no secret that they’re both up for re-election in 2020 and that they’re both unpopular, is it? McConnell might have been far more popular if he hadn’t enabled Drumpf in most everything. But then most of the enabling was on issues the GOP wanted Drumpf to do for them, like the tax cuts, the appointments to SCOTUS and appointing as much Republican judges as fast as possible. McConnell has been enabling his party, and with that his leadership in the Senate, as much as he’s been enabling Drumpf; he can’t stop now when Drumpf is getting completely out of control because he’ll then go down with Drumpf and the GOP.

CNN Assange was a hero once, celebrated here too; let’s not forget that. As a person I dislike him very much, but I don’t think that’s enough reason for him to deserves to be extradited to the US. The same US which has been pressuring Ecuador for years to throw him out of their embassy and has finally pushed the new president to do so by offering him an American naval base in his country and a lot of financial support. Strange that Drumpf is going after a man so hard who has helped him win the election. Did Mueller ever mention/research him? I can’t remember. It hardly matters; like Manning, Assange is unlikely to get a fair trial and faces 45 years for what we then thought of as heroic work in the public’s interest. We shouldn’t think differently about that now because the man, locked up for nearly seven years – he wasn’t even allowed to visit a physician – and who’s image was heavily tainted by two American governments – didn’t turn out to be such an agreeable man and perhaps made some wrong choices.

TNY: I don’t think Drumpf would want to replace DeVos by Lori Loughlin, Andy. Loughlin knows all to well what a good education is worth.

    • I also thought there was no secret to his keeping his nose in the orange rectum.  That’s why I said “He’s a goose stepping, Koch sucking Republican that bends over and grabs his ankles whenever Putin’s Pervert barks at him.”

      🤮

  7. MSNBC: Can’t stand looking at the bi*ch mItch. Always there to stick his brainless words to kiss his leaders as*. I agree with Nita and Mitchell.
CNN: Makes me wonder what will be happening with aSSange? With all the international laws?
TNY: I agree that she’s way better than B.D. Just gets me that he picks one that has been doing evil herself. Must be something about ones who do, tRump loves them.
    Cartoon: Good day indeed.
Good luck with the new refrigerator. Hope it’s a decent size.

  8. Thanks for your news,I enjoy having a story.😀yes and good luck with the smaller fridge, cram it in!!not good,but..

  9. Puzzle — 4:32  I can see Lona and her hubby there relaxing and enjoying a beer.

MSNBC — McTurtle is such a conniving deplorable.  If Kentuckians are smart, they will kick his ass to the curb in 2020.

CNN — I saw video news coverage of Assange being arrested and taken to jail in London.  After Ecuador rescinded his asylum, the police were invited into the Ecuadorian Embassy where they arrested Assange.  It appeared he was resisting arrest as they forced him out the door in handcuffs and into a waiting van.

    From USA Today:

“President Donald Trump, who declared “I love WikiLeaks” [repeatedly] during the 2016 presidential campaign, refused Thursday to comment on the arrest of the website’s founder Julian Assange in London.”

It will be interesting to see what happens next.

The New Yorker — ““No one here has a problem with that [the admissions scandal],”” — As I recall, the Dark Lord won a spot at university through a friend of his father’s, although I don’t recall if there was money involved.  Cheating is second nature to him so I can certainly see why he would want to take Loughlin into the cabinet as the Secretary of Education.

Cartoon — A great day!  I think another like it is needed now.

Tuesday and Wednesday were hectic but I finally got a decent sleep Wednesday night.  I hope you are able to get the fridge exchanged and that it is not too small for your needs.  Take care.

  10. Thanks and TGIF Hugs to all. 17

  11. Brainwashing & B.S.!!
You are wrong TC, Julian did NOT serve trump & russia, if he did trump would not be extraditing him he would be doing him favours, like he has the rest of the criminals in your current government!
The DNC f*cked up by nominating corporate democrat Hillary when it should’ve been Bernie in ’16!!
Chelsea Manning, Julian Assange & Wikileaks only ever publish TRUTH!
Watch the vid below i posted & tell me how can publishing these 10 crimes be wrong???
“Top 10 Wikileaks Discoveries You Need To Know About!!”
    https://www.care2.com/news/member/830217428/4144215

“Amy Goodman spoke to Noam Chomsky about Assange’s arrest, WikiLeaks & American power.”
    https://www.care2.com/news/member/830217428/4144204

If the extradition goes ahead Julian will be assassinated as soon as he’s in the US!!!
i have hope, he has great lawyers, Geoffrey Robertson QC, Amal Clooney, Jennifer Robinson, who are fighting to stop this insane extradition & send him home where he belongs!

This coup is a win for every dictator, every war criminal & every corrupt politician in the U.S. & around the world.
And if you find yourself celebrating Assange’s arrest,
you deserve to be ruled by them!

    • Actually, Animae, I’m right and I have documented.  DOJ was after Assange long before Trump was elected, and even though he helped Trump and Russia, Trump always screws his helpers. when he’s done with them.  DOJ has bribed Ecuador for years, but they gave in, because of Assange’s disruptive behavior in their London Embassy. 35
