It’s another cold day here in the CatBox.  I have to do some intake paperwork, that never got done when they rushed me into this building, with the Asst. Mgr.  That may put me be behind schedule.  Happy International Women’s Day to all, and TGIF!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:10 (average 4:56).  To do it, click here.  (Technicolor kitty farts?)  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): Jon Meacham: We May Have A President Who Is Enthralled To A Foreign Power

Fuhrer Drumpfenfarten has Putin in his pooter! RESIST!!

From The Hill: Twenty-three Republican lawmakers voted against a resolution condemning anti-Semitism and other forms of hatred on Thursday, arguing the measure was β€œwatered down” and failed to properly condemn Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-Minn.) recent controversial remarks on U.S.-Israel relations.

The 23 Republicans included: Reps. Andy Biggs (Ariz.), Mo Brooks (Ala.), Ken Buck (Colo.), Ted Budd (N.C.), Michael Burgess (Texas), Liz Cheney(Wyo.), Chris Collins (N.Y.), Mike Conaway (Texas), Rick Crawford (Ark.) and Jeff Duncan (S.C.).

The list was completed by Reps. Louie Gohmert (Texas), Paul Gosar (Ariz.), Tom Graves (Ga.), Pete King (N.Y.), Doug LaMalfa (Calif.), Thomas Massie(Ky.), Steven Palazzo (Miss.), Mike Rogers (Ala.), Chip Roy (Texas), Greg Steube (Fla.), Mark Walker (N.C.), Ted Yoho (Fla.) and Lee Zeldin (N.Y.).

Meanwhile, Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), who was stripped off his committee assignments for remarks he made regarding white supremacy earlier this year, voted present.

Steve King is the sleaziest Republican on the list. He’s the one trying to hide his sheet and hood. RESIST!!

From Stars and Stripes: The Pentagon is planning to tap $1 billion in leftover funds from military pay and pension accounts to help President Donald Trump pay for his long-sought border wall, a top Senate Democrat said Thursday.

Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., told The Associated Press, “It’s coming out of military pay and pensions. $1 billion. That’s the plan.”

Republicans do not care about our troops. They want cannon fodder. RESIST!!

  1. The tRump regime is so mired in scandal, it should have been toppled long ago! Now that we have enough Democrats to handily pass HR-1 (I’ll drink to that!), if we can lean on the Senate we should be able to get impeachment proceedings begun against the Mango Monstrosity. Enough talk – let’s see some flippin’ action!

  2. 5:15 Maybe Squatch can save them.

Oops – almost missed this –

MSNBC – I assume he uses the word “may” to avoid lawsuits. I’d leave it out – but I wouldn’t be on TV saying it.

Hill – The only surprise to me is that doug Lamborn is NOT on that list. Don’t even get me started on Ken Buck. Thank God he’s not a Senator.

Stars and Stripes – I’ll bet that makes Dick Durbin as angry as it makes me, which is somewhere up on the Richter scale.

Happy Birthday, Carrie! Glad you and yours made it through the tornado!

Cartoon – I’m trying to think of a planet that is white. I’m coming up empty.

  3. MSNBC: Horrible history! re: this poutus. He likes dictators more than he likes his intelligence community, and advisers, who warn him on a daily basis. He’d rather have play-time with Putin and Ong. He’s a menace to our Nation, and it’s citizens!

Hill: Four of these lawmakers who voted against this, are from Texas. What an embarrassment! I’m glad that the bill was revised to include and condemn discrimination, and hatred.

S&S: Oh, hell to the NO!!! Nada to the ninny!

Cartoon: Hope that you have a good day, and Happy Birthday, Carrie. Cartoon2: They’d like that, wouldn’t they?

Happy Women’s International Day to all who grace these pages! It’s warm here, @73 here. Hope you get your homework done, lol. Enjoy your evening, take good care, and Thanks, Tom.

*This just in: “If Trump gets anymore more incoherent, the right wing evangelicals will claim he’s speaking in tongues.” ~ Rose L. ~ 2. “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you can find Donald Trump’s SAT scores.” ~Nancy H. ~

Thanks, Joanne for RR. (he’s adorable!) What a joy!!

  4. Happy Birthday Carrie πŸŽ‚

Any news on that application you made for the new unit, TC?

  5. I don’t think there’s much of a “MAY” about having a president enthralled with a foreign power.

  6. Hill:  What an embarrassment that four of the no votes were from my state of TX.  No surprise that King only voted present.

    S&S:  This is so wrong.07

    Happy Birthday Carrie!  I hope it’s a good one.πŸŽ‚πŸŽ

Thank you for Randy Rainbow Joanne.  I love him.

    Happy Women’s International Day everyone.

Thank you TomCat.  Have a restful evening.

  7. MSNBC: No, not “enthralled,” but “in thrall.”  And most probably so!
The Hill: My reading of her comments does not show any anti-semitism, but she has opened herself to the Republicans who follow Mussolini’s edict to “Accuse your opponent of that which you are doing.”  Anti-semitism is one of the very long term values of the GOP!
S and S: What a shameful misappropriation and  waste of veteran’s funds.  If nothing else, give it to Joanne!
‘Toon: What they are not accusing him of being a Jew trying to the world?                                               Happiest Day, Carrie!!!

  8. MSNBC: Truly despicable the way tRump kisses the butts of foreign leaders. Shows no respect to our own county He’s a pure shame to our country.S&S: Awful that they want to take the money from the military/veterans for his flipping wall. Cartoon: Hope that you have a great day, and a very Happy Birthday, Carrie.

  9. 3:07 No Technicolor kitty farts for you today, TomCat.

MSNBC: John Meacham was right when he said that this goes beyond a presidency mired in scandal. Bottom line is Drumpf’s presidency, aided and abetted by the GOP, has led go a crisis of American institutions. But enthralment to a foreign power is just the tip of the iceberg. The rest of the iceberg is hidden beneath the surface of a sea of corruption, greed and hunger for power.

TH: Over the years quite a few names on this list of Republicans who voted against this resolution have become familiar to me and I’m not at all surprised they did so. The rhetoric they use against Ms. Omar to explain their vote against shows once again they are projecting their own foul biases on someone else to divert from their own hatred-filled politics.

S&S: One billion from “leftover funds” from pay and pensions?! Really, leftover from what? So now it’s not just the taxpayers but also the military and vets who are going to be squeezed dry for this wall. At what point will you say: “enough!”

Happy birthday, Carry! It must be an extra joyous birthday after you and your family got through the hurricane unscathed.

  10. 46Happy Birthday Carry
We are living History in the making! So much intertwined
    more each day
This was  interesting, Thank you TomCat

  11. Puzzle — 3:51  I am not coming to the rescue today, but Lona definitely clipped the Puddy Tat’s claws and filed his teeth down!  As she said, “No Technicolor kitty farts for you today”!

MSNBC — “We May Have A President Who Is Enthralled To A Foreign Power” — Really???  What was your first hint?  There is no ‘may’.  Trump is enthralled to foreign powers . . . to dictators like Kim, Putin, and MbS.  I think he is hoping that some of their power will rub off on him.  I think if Trump could, he would make himself ‘president for life’.  Remember his reaction to the knowledge that Xi Jinping had declared himself president of China for life? . . . total envy!

Stars and Stripes — “Republicans do not care about our troops. They want cannon fodder.” — Ain’t the truth!  Since there are so many problems at the VA, some of that money should be going to better medical care for troops.  Way to go Republicans . . . you uncaring bastards!!!

The Hill — I wonder what Republicans would have said if Ilhan Omar were named Mary Smith from Minnesota and made the exact same comments?  My guess . . . it would not have been as big an issue.  Not only that, enough Republicans have themselves cast dispersions on Jews.  But hey, they’re allowed.

Cartoon — LMAO!!!  Sounds about right for Republicans!

          23HAPPY BIRTHDAY                         CARRIE!!!!! 17

Well the snow is not all gone but today was a beautiful sunny day for the most part.  The fog rolled in this evening but I am attributing that to chili farts from a certain Puddy Tat who shall remain nameless.  From what I hear, this weekend is supposed to be sunny with seasonal temps.  The rain starts again Monday afternoon.  Hopefully, it will wash away that putrid smell!

  12. Thanks and hugs to all!! 17

  13. Never in a lifetime,or three, would you come across a person such as Trump!!I have never see this before in a leader!!

  14. Thanks Tom!!
