Today’s winner is a Republican Representative and Trump Sycophant Matt Gaetz (R-FL). He is so honored for congressional witness intimidation on behalf of his Fuhrer.
A top ally of President Trump appeared to threaten a witness on the eve of a high-profile congressional hearing, suggesting Tuesday that he would expose the president’s former lawyer Michael Cohen as a womanizer should he testify against Trump.
“Hey @MichaelCohen212 — Do your wife & father-in-law know about your girlfriends?” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), a fierce defender of the president, wrote on Twitter Nazi delinked]. “Maybe tonight would be a good time for that chat. I wonder if she’ll remain faithful when you’re in prison. She’s about to learn a lot.”
The comment elicited instant pushback from House Democrats, who accused Gaetz of trying to intimidate their star witness.
Cohen, Trump’s former fixer and longtime associate, is set to testify publicly before the House Oversight and Reform Committee on Wednesday. He will accuse the president of “lies, racism and cheating,” according to a person familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to describe the expected testimony. And Cohen is expected to detail Trump’s role in his hush-money payments to two women alleging sexual relationships with Trump during the 2016 election…

Given the current situation, I would hope that Cohen has already had "that chat" with his wife if there is any fire with all the smoke. As to his FIL, 1) he is a big boy; 2) Trump has already made the accusations public so Gaetz is just a Johnnie-come-lately.
I agree with you (what a surprise, eh!), Gaetz deserves the parade and is just another Republican low life! Seems Don Lemon could not get enough adjectives into his description of Gaetz.

Of course Gaetz deserves your parade, TomCat. He did a lot of things to deserve it, but finally the time was right for it. Sucking up to Drumpf by imitating Drumpf's Mafia boss tricks like intimidating, bullying and scamming is an exercise in going lower than ever before. And Gaetz has won this round. Matt Gaetz is clearly no Michael Corleone from "Godfather II" when it comes to intimadation. No doubt he will rue the day he decided to engage in witness tampering w/ his Tweet.

I saw this on Lawrence O'Donnell last night and it made my skin crawl. Gaetz definitely deserves to be in the parade.

Confession time: I used to be a Republican. Sh*theads like Gaetz are why I turned my back on the Elephants years ago. I'd rather admit that I rooted for the Empire in the "Star Wars" movies.

Freya, I was a Progressive Conservative here in Canada — they're called Conservatives now since Herr Harper became leader of the party and eventually Prime Minister. The Conservatives are our version of Republicans. But I changed to Liberal back in grade 12 or 13, back when Justin Trudeau's father, Pierre Trudeau, was Prime Minister. Now I run New Democratic which is democratic socialist. I am sure most of us those kinds of skeletons in our closts. The important thing is that we have critical thinking skills that we use to come to the light!
