Explaining his rationale for running, the 1988 Democratic Presidential nominee told reporters, “As everyone else started jumping into the race, I started feeling a little left out.”
Additionally, Dukakis explained, “People have been stopping me on the street and saying that they thought I was already running. So, whatever.”

I should probably consider doing an Erinyes on this Op-Ed. But I just am not sure I can without becoming overwhelmed.
Trae – Trae should try CBD instead of THC. Yes, it’s reasonable you and he (and probably I) would go for the same people – and even more reasonable that he (and you and I) would be MORE concerned about “pie fights” (squabbles among ourselves, especially leading to bitterness and consequent poor decisions) than about any particular candidate. Because he (and you and I) do not have our heads up our wazoos. But he still should try CBD.
Bernie – Kind of looks like he read your comment, doesn’t it? At least in the visuals. (He also has Ben and Jerry on his side.)
TNY – You know the Republicans would smear him by hammering that he has a cousin who is widely known to be a thespian. (And their base is so dumb, that might even influence some.)

Liberal Redneck: All too true. We Progressives need to stop squabbling and start uniting. Let’s focus on where we agree. Our enemies take advantage of the divisions in our ranks. We need to lean on Democratic leadership, tell them to get their s**t together and back real progressives instead of corporate-owned DINOs. We need real DONKEYS, not elephants in donkey’s clothing. So eat your soup, mother—–rs.
I supported Bernie in 2016, and I’ll support him in 2020. Age matters only if you’re a bottle of wine or an antique.

Trae Crowder: He sure has a knack for putting his finger on the sorest spot. Democrats just don’t stick together like Republicans do. Like you always point out too, TomCat, Trae underlines that Democrats should swallow their hurt pride when their favourite candidate doesn’t make it to the election and vote for the one that does. In the end it’s all about beating Drumpf.
Bernie SAnders: Good start with a good ad. Glad to see that Bernie is willing to listen to advise and learn from his mistakes in the last campaign. He’s focussed on a wider range of issues now, including racial inequality, immigration and foreign policy and that is certainly widens his appeal too.
TNY: Bravo, Andy. You’ve found just the right guy to parody the Democratic race for the candidacy with. Even I remember Dukakis. ?

Most likely will go with a “Saturday Smile” rather than a “Friday Fun”.
I have doctor’s appointments both today (Thursday) and tomorrow – so doubt I’ll get it done in time.
