It’s a hectic day here in the CatBox.  I had some paperwork I had to get done early, so I got started over an hour late.  Then my Internet connection went down for about an hour.  I caught up by skipping my morning nap.  Store to Door should deliver groceries in a little over an hour, after which I’ll need to unpack and pout them away.  Next I’ll prepare and eat lunch.  And this evening, WWWendy will come to destink the TomCat.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:46 (average 7:09).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): Swift Results: Voter Registration Spikes After Star’s Endorsement Of Democrats

Love it! Republicans thought they owned her! RESIST!! VOTE BLUE!!

From CNN: A terrifyingly powerful Category 4 Hurricane Michael was poised to become the strongest hurricane to hit the Florida Panhandle in recorded history Wednesday, its rapid strengthening catching some by surprise and leaving anxious officials telling those who didn’t evacuate: It’s time to hunker down.

"This is the worst storm that our Florida Panhandle has seen in a century," Gov. Rick Scott said Wednesday morning. "Hurricane Michael is upon us, and now is the time to seek refuge."

The extremely dangerous Michael is expected to make landfall in the Panhandle, perhaps near Panama City and Laguna Beach, in the afternoon, CNN meteorologist Chad Myers said.

If you are in range of it, please attend to your safety! RESIST!! VOTE BLUE!!

From The New Yorker: In a setback for the newest Associate Justice on his first day at work, Brett Kavanaugh said on Tuesday that he was “very disappointed” to learn that the Supreme Court does not have a happy hour.

Kavanaugh told reporters that he made the horrifying discovery as the clock ticked down to 5 p.m. and “everyone was still in their offices working and stuff.”

“I mean, I couldn’t believe it,” Kavanaugh said. “I had been busting my tail for six hours, and I needed to blow off some steam.”

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was the member of the Court who delivered the bad news to Kavanaugh. “When she told me, I guess I started crying a bit, which I now regret,” he said. “She just kind of closed her office door and went back to work or whatever.”

Oh Andy! Poor Kava-Nazi! Now he’ll have to get an alcohol IV. RESIST!! VOTE BLUE!!

  1. 6:07 Interesting.

This has to be one of the most brilliant retributions I have ever heard of. With a permit, too. Savage in its way, yet completely non-violent. And the punishment definitely fits the crime!

Activism – Hope you hugged him back from all of us, Pat (and managed not to break one of his ribs doing it.)

MSNBC – Like Willie Nelson but younger. In both cases, there was plenty of evidence she was on the left. My favorite part of the story was the practically breaking the registration site.

CNN – I always think of the parts of Florida as “the gun barrel” and “the gun grip,” so I sometimes have to look up maps to see what they are talking about. My friends in Florida are all in the Tampa Bay area (the grip) so they will likely be fine. On the other hand, apparently the effects are going as far west as Alabama, and we all have a friend there.

TNY – OMG WTF LOL. I believe it!

    Cartoon – Yup !!!!

  2. Don’t take this lying down – rise up! Resist, persist, insist, and above all, VOTE! Only if enough progressives get their arses to the polls do we have any hope of effecting the Blue Wave we need to have any chance of saving this country. If the Rethuglicanazis maintain a hold of Congress – you know what is going to hit the fan.

  3. Boy, Pat – you are one lucky gal getting a hug from Beto!

    • I was hugging him right back, Nameless. He sat down with us like he was in our group, and had our sweet tea together, and gabbed.

He’s amazing, and most importantly, he got my vote and support for his campaign. He’s a Winner !!

  4. *Joanne: LOVE your Resist picture!

Activism: Beto! I did mention to him, that “your parents must be so proud of you, as am I ! Keep up the good work for our USA”! Met his wife, Amy too!  Joanne, he is quite a hugger too, just like me. Love this guy! My other gal pal in the picture is a Navy Wave veteran too. thx, TC

MSNBC: She’s amazing ! Like I’ve said, the younger generation is stepping up and voting BLUE !! Kudos to Taylor ! My gran-daughter loves her.

CNN: Used to live in Tallahassee, and I have friends there. I sure do hope they sought safety, and get out of this hurricane’s way.

NYer: omg. This is hilarious!!!!!!!!! 😉

    Cartoon: So very sad.

Hi, WWWendy, hope you’re doing well…Hope that you have a relaxing evening, take care, & Thanks, Tom.

*This just in: “Donald Trump has zero political experience. Meanwhile…you need 5 years experience for an entry level management position at Chili’s.” ~ Anon ~

    • Aw, thanks.  I’m reusing older ones for a while – I like that one too.

Here’s a “This just in” right back at ya – Tomi Lahren tweeted “Let’s be clear, I’m not with Taylor and I’m not with Kanye. I’m not for celebrities that pop off of sh*t they don’t understand. Period.”  Really. She really did.  And they said irony was dead.

      • UGH!!

Seriously….Joanne…I can’t EVEN watch her for a few minutes, as she spews her venom to the masses…she’s just jealous.  lol.
btw…she’s probably p’oed that Taylor got a Huge following after encouraging folks to register and vote.

  5. PAT CONTINUES TO ROCK!!!!!!!!!
MSNBC: The more the GOPIGGIES shoot themselves in the foot, the more to cheer for!  Taylor and Wille, what a team!
CNN: Re-energizes my wish for a tornado to sit on More-a-Liar!  Friends in Central Florida are having no problem, but if Scott has any problems with his continuing denial of global warming…still more to cheer for!
New Yorker:  Don’t think he does not already have one!
    ‘Toon: Barren, just like them!

  6. Way to go Pat, like the photo of you with Beto. MSNBC: Normally I don’t watch the actual show, but did have it on when she spoke. So happy that she’s speaking out. They are listening. Huge voter signup which is really great. The more the merrier. CNN: It was reclassified as a Category 5. Watching it this morning on the breaking news, was scary. Seeing the winds, saying a house was going down the street. My thoughts and prayers going to all that are affected.TNY: Andy is spot on. Got a real kick out of it.Take care. Thanks TomCat

  7. Awesome PAT! WW… A terrific photo op. 1 in a million. Need I say more. lol.

    .

  8. Thank you, ALL, for your positive, and caring comments!
Y’all are the BEST all around.

     Thank you so much! 20

  9. WTG Taylor, i wish more celebs would do the same!!!

    WTG Pat!!! He’s cyoot!!! ?

Excellent pic of current Australian government environmentalism!! ? ?

My power was out for an hour TC, apparently they were updating the network!! ?

  10. Great picture of you and Beto, Pat. Having that taken must have mad your day, and Beto’s too!

MSNBC: Voter registration spiked after Taylor Swift’s announcement, and Drumpf thought all he needed to do was to ignore advise again and put her down. That man has the social intelligence of an earthworm (sorry, earthworms), so he’ll probably attack Taylor and mock her like with full force. That may be hard or Taylor to hear, but she’s a tough cookie and can take it. And (Democratic) voter registration will spike like never before.

CNN: I read that a lot of people are ignoring evacuation summons again, which is terribly sad as the consequences may be terrible. Please leave if you’re told to and stay down until Michael has disappeared completely. Stay safe!

TNY: Aww, don’t you feel for the poor sucker. I bet the Supreme Court is Teetotaller’s heaven.

  11. Thank you, Ladies, for my accolades. 2020

  12. Thank you, Tom, for all that you do.
    You’re one awesome Puddy Tat!!

  13. Puzzle — Won’t load for me!

Activism — I take it Pat that you are on the left, Beto in the middle of course (what sensible Democrat wouldn’t want to be surrounded by gorgeous lady vets!), and the other retired Navy Wave on the right.  Great hearing about a politician that actually talks with people!  Cruz should be worried . . . very, very worried!  Go Beto!!!

MSNBC — I just hope the registration spike is all from Democrats.  Obviously she has piqued Diaper Don.  I sure hope the Republican unemployment line grew longer!

CNN — I do hope that everyone will be safe.  But I do have to wonder if Diaper Don will be throwing out rolls of paper towels to Floridians affected by Michael!  I had the same reaction when Florence hit a month ago.

The New Yorker — LMAO!!!  This seems about right . . . rather like Diaper Don saying he didn’t realise the job of POTUS was so involved!

Cartoon — So true, and sad!  Rape and Pillage!  It is in line with their social policies too!

  14. Thanks all.  Pooped hugs! 19
