From NY Times: Facebook, already facing scrutiny over how it handles the private information of its users, said on Friday that an attack on its computer network had exposed the personal information of nearly 50 million users.
The breach, which was discovered this week, was the largest in the company’s 14-year history. The attackers exploited a feature in Facebook’s code to gain access to user accounts and potentially take control of them.
The only way to win with Facebook is not to play. UNPLUG!! RESIST!! VOTE BLUE!!

MSNBC – I gathered something was in the wind when I heard about the meeting. This wasn’t what I expected, but I like it. Raw Story says the FBI has already reached out to Debra Ramirez. Fingers crossed.
Sam – I’m starting to wonder whether it might not be better for him to get confirmed … since he is so eminently impeachable. Impeaching him would create a precedent for impeaching Clarence Thomas. Of course a 2018 blue wave, even a tsunami, would not be enough to bring the court back to reason. We’d also need a Democratic President in 2020. And in the meantime we’d have to prevent the confirmation of any more sociopaths or Nazis. But it’s not totally out of reach, though it is challenging.
FB – Everyone not on Facebook (like you and me) is saying “Thank God I didn’t!” right now.

Personally I don’t want Kavanaugh allowed even on a TOUR of the Supreme Court Building, let alone a seat.
And while the new House might well be able (likely, if he’s confirmed) to impeach him, I doubt we’d be able to get the 2/3 vote necessary in the Senate to convict him.
But Kavanaugh has managed one thing I thought I’d never see: he actually made Clarence Thomas look a teeny, tiny bit less of a sexual predator … but only by comparison.
Well, maybe not in 2019 – but even that depends. But maybe in 2021 …
I don’t want him near the SCOTUS either, but, you know, we all thought no one could be worse than Boehner, and no one could be worse than Tillerson, and so on. If he doesn’t get through, and we get another Gorsuch, there’ll be no impeaching him.

MSNBC: Indeed, wonderful news! Kava should take a polygraph, tho’ I doubt he will…imho. Mark Judge has said that he is willing to cooperate with the FBI. I’m sure that the FBI will cover all bases necessary to get their investigation(s) completed.

It’s good to see more people turning on Kavanaugh. Meanwhile, we need to keep our pressure on our Senators with phone calls, e-mails, tweets and postcards until Kava-nut’s nomination is withdrawn or voted down. Then make sure the Orange Ogre can’t nominate anybody else till after the midterms. If we do get the Blue Tsunami we need to save our country, I wouldn’t put it past the Greedy Old Pr*cks to try to shoehorn in another nomination before Democrats regain control.
If they don’t get a confirmation before the midterms, they ABSOLUTELY will try to get one in before the new Congress. That’s a given. We can only hope to be in a better position to shoot it down, but I’m not sure we will be. We will have no club over any Senators running in 2018, because they will already have their fate. We will only have a club over Senators running in 2020 and 2022 … and that may seem a long way off.
I heard that teams of FBI people were standing by ready before Drumpf gave the order to a limited one week of investigations as early as the night after Drumpf’s order had been initiated. Wow! Fast movers. I foresee one problem: The Director of the FBI was appointed by Drumpf. sigh…

MSNBC: I hope Frank Figliuzzi (former FBI) is correct in all his assumptions and the FBI is really going all out to get to the bottom of this given the very limited time they’ve been given. Since Drumpf has also gotten rid of “all the rotten FBI parts” I also hope that the final report will reach the committee, or rather the public, without going through some White House, GOP or Grassley censorship.

MSNBC — I certainly hope there is no partisan hack in the investigation. If the investigation needs more time, a few more days, I certainly hope that will be afforded. Kavanope has displayed such pathetic behaviour, even if the accusations cannot be substantiated, he does not belong on SCOTUS! For that matter, he does not belong in his current position.
