From The New Yorker: The Philadelphia Eagles have accepted Robert Mueller’s invitation to come to his office and celebrate their Super Bowl victory with him, Mueller has confirmed.
The special counsel said that he was “absolutely tickled” that the Eagles had accepted his invitation. “I’m a huge fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, and it turns out the feeling is mutual,” he said.
According to one member of the team, the Eagles accepted Mueller’s invitation only after being assured that their visit would not in any way distract the special counsel from “getting his job done.”

From NY Times: Facebook has data-sharing partnerships with at least four Chinese electronics companies, including a manufacturing giant that has a close relationship with China’s government, the social media company said on Tuesday.
The agreements, which date to at least 2010, gave private access to some user data to Huawei, a telecommunications equipment company that has been flagged by American intelligence officials as a national security threat, as well as to Lenovo, Oppo and TCL.
The four partnerships remain in effect, but Facebook officials said in an interview that the company would wind down the Huawei deal by the end of the week.
Saying they will wind it down, years after China has downloaded your personal data, is much too little much too late. With Facebook, the only way to win is not to play! UNPLUG!! RESIST!! VOTE BLUE!!

NYT – I see that a white Rutgers history professor used Facebook this week to attempt to resign from the “white race.” If I used Facebook, I’s send him a supporting comment, but I’m durned well not going to join just for that!

Chris Hayes: Don’t forget, Scott Pruitt is not a millionaire, unlike just about any other in Drumpf’s Cabinet, so he has to make the most of what he’s got now. The incredibly stupid way this (most?) corrupt administrator goes about making himself a few extra bucks shows exactly why he isn’t a millionaire yet. The man is incompetent at anything he does. He hasn’t even got the connections to get his wife a job to help pay off the mortgage and has to use his staff to set up a meeting. With Chick-Fil-A, for a franchise ? Makes you wonder how competent she is. This is soooooo pathetic.

I hope you are feeling better. A week ago or so, it was republicosis for me. Right now, it is republicitis! Just goes to show that with anything republican, one just can’t win!!! The time is drawing closer when my little one, Sareena, will be going to Iran with her mum to visit her grandparents. Yesterday, she asked me to install skype so she could talk to me while she is away. I am not going to because that time is for her Iranian family. I can see her any time here. There was a book sale at her school and she bought a book, Cat Sense by John Bradshaw, for me. I am certainly blessed to be a “grandma” to this 9 year old!
Not that this should be a surprise to anyone here … but you have good, solid priorities.
