Well – Kudos to Dartmouth! And also to Brown, and the other institutions, unnamed here, which preceded both. “If we shy away from these types of stories, we’re doing a disservice to education,” Swan said. AMEN!
MM – Well, the witches are certainly terrified. And, I hope, shuld be. And so partisan – completely being run by Republicans (Rosenstein, Comey, Mueller) though no doubt there are some rank and file who are Democrats working on it. Liberal media. Facepalm.
MSNBC – “The Department of Justice is not going to be extorted.” “I’m not going to violate my oath.” Two quotes which should live forever. And – from a REPUBLICAN! Will wonders never cease! She’s right that the Deputy Attorney General is not often in the limelight as Rosenstein is. The more I see of him, the better I like him. And, just for contrast – it is SO much more dignified to make legal points in actual legitimate legal contexts, ans show how they are based on principle, than to go into Twitter rages.
Kent State – And these were white (excuse me, pink) young heroes. I shudder to think what the scene would have looked like had they been black.

Kent State / Jackson State – Something somewhat similar happened at Jackson State just a few days later. Where Kent State was front page news, Jackson State was hidden back on maybe page 32 if covered at all. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackson_State_killings
The difference was that at Jackson State, it was the police that did the shooting. Police often killed black demonstrators in the South, and to our national shame, it was routine. I think that, had the Kent State victims been black, there would not have been as big an outcry, but there would have been one, because soldiers killing demonstrators had not happened for decades.

MSNBC: Just got done watching this. I have a lot of respect for men who won’t back down, and to do what is right for the people of these United States. Kudos to Rod Rosenstein who will see this through, and standing for the law, and integrity.

Rachel Maddow: Thank you, Rachel, for giving Rod Rosenstein a platform for his PR campaign, which is the only defense Rosenstein can muster against the continuing onslaught of both Republican Congress and the White House for the purpose of either obstructing Mueller’s investigation and/or getting rid of Rosenstein and everyone else in the DOJ who threaten Drumpf, and the GOP. I hope other media will follow suit and give Rosenstein the protection he won’t get from Congress and, as I’ve said yesterday, also that by going public someone will pick up the glove and investigate/indict the Republicans who are trying to obstruct the investigation in such a blatant way.
OHIO CSNY: Let’s hope history doesn’t repeat itself; let’s hope there’s no need to revisit these sad times to come out on top again.
