I’m running a little late, because something or some idiot set off the fire alarm system, and I had to put on George and my outside clothes to prepare to evacuate.  The alarm went off less than a minute, after the fire department arrived. It was small cooking fire.  I’m still sweating from the rushed exertion.  Yesterday’s meeting went exactly as I anticipated.  It was for the benefit of those, who are too lazy to read the FAQs CCC distributed over a week ago.  However, the weather was nice, so I took the opportunity to make a bank run, so I can pay WWWendy on Sunday.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:46 (average 5:04).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (Vox Channel): Why the Stormy Daniels and Summer Zervos lawsuits matter

I would love see Drumpfenfarten deposed and charged with the resultant perjury. RESIST!!

From YouTube (Media Matters Channel): Tucker Carlson parrots YouTube’s most extreme misogynists

Barf Bag Alert!!

Dang! I’m an oppressed minority, am I? Well, I’m just too busy to commit suicide this week.Winking smile  RESIST!!

From The Courier-Journal: In just a matter of hours Thursday Republicans in control of the Kentucky House and Senate unveiled – and zipped through to final passage – a new version of a controversial pension reform bill.

As about 200 stunned and furious teachers and other opponents chanted objections like "Shame on you" from outside the chambers, the House first passed the bill 49-46, and a few hours later the Senate passed it 22-15.

The bill now goes to the desk of Gov. Matt Bevin.

Passing a pension bill stands as the turning point of the 2018 legislative session, opening the way for passage of a state budget bill and perhaps a surprise tax reform bill during the remaining three days of the session.

This is how Republicans demonstrate their commitment to education: by screwing teachers. RESIST!!

  1. I hope against hope that Stormy Daniels is the beginning of the end for tRump and his insane excuse for a regime.

  2. Vox: I hope that she NAILS the perv to the wall ! Buh Bye!!

BBA: Where’s the Vomit button??? ugh!!!

CJ: A few other states teachers are rising up, and walking out/striking about this. They too, have had enough sheet from these politicians. Good for them, and I stand next to them in protesting. Kudos to those who are!!

    Cartoon: AssHat. ugh!

Sorry about the alarm going off. That can be distressing, and in your case, an adjustment to your schedule. Glad your meeting went okay too. Enjoy your evening, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

  3. 4:39 Very early here.

Give WWWendyWW hugs from all of us along with the cash.

Vox – Well, yeah, if he used campaign funds to pay one or both off that’s a very serious Federal offense. And so is perjury, or even jusy lying to the FBI when not under oath. Not that his base cares. So much for Republican Law and Order (yes, I do know what they really mean by it; it’s still – um – cognitively dissonant.)

Fucker Carlson – I’m sure the white male suicides are just whiny snowflakes. You aren’t.

(Incidentally, if ALL masculinity were toxic, we wouldn’t need to say “toxic masculinity,” would we? We could just say “masculinity.” The very term “toxic masculinity” implies there exists masculinity which is not toxic. But they are not smart enough to grasp that.)

Courier – It’s also how they demonstrate their pro-life stance – by passing legislation which kills people. Fpr God’s sake, Kentucky, send Amy McGrath to Congress – and clean up your state houses!

Cartoon – Oh, I’ll bet he does. How many Latino Randians do you know?

  4. I may be a little scarce, again, for awhile.

My brother is back in the hospital again – third time in three months.

He’s in Tampa & I’m in KCMO – but he might come and stay with me for awhile to sort things out.

Multiple problems with that logistically – but I’ve not been pleased with his physicians, so maybe a clean start might be “Just what the doctor ordered.”

    • So sorry to hear about your brother taken ill again, Nameless. Let’s hope he takes your advise and comes to stay with you for a while, though it may be hard on you too, so close after your mother’s passing. Don’t forget to take good care of yourself too.

    • Doggone it, if you have been less than satisfied with his physicians, he should listen to you, even if he is over 18.  Although I have found it discouraging how families discount the opinions of the world’s greatest experts just because they are related.  Best of luck.  And prayers.

    • Nameless, I’m so sorry.  You take all the time you need, and I hope and pray that you get a positive handle on his health as easily as possible. 35

  5. Vox: Of course thee lawsuits could be damaging in themselves for the same reason answering Mueller’s questions under oath would be damaging: Drumpf “has a strange relationship with the truth” and no doubt will perjure himself. That is why all his lawyers over the years have tried their utmost to keep him from being inquired. Has Drumpf ever testified under oath?

MM: I’m sorry. I didn’t need a barf bag after this pathetic video. Just some help to get of the floor where I, female oppressor, was rolling on the floor laughing for too long.

TC-J: Federal Congress may not be functioning well, or not functioning at all in the eyes of any concerned American, but it seems to do very well in teaching other Republican-majority Congresses across the land how to screw the citizens in their own states out of their last pennies and give them to their (local) 1%. The whole set-up of passing this pension bill, and others equally vile in its tracks, right before a recess is straight from the GOP handbook.

Cartoon: Paul Rand’s delusion equals that of his president; he may actually believe Latinos are just as easy to influence.

Glad you had the opportunity to clear the smoke by going for a bank run in nice spring weather. That might have led you to enjoy a good sleep too, TomCat.

  6. Y/T-Vox: May he reap what he has sewn,POS!
Y/T- MMC: The only crisis I know about, in this regard, is that Carlson has a platform from which to spew his horse s**t!
‘Toon: Being one of the foremost baggers, Rand baby is very able to BS himself, from the inside!  It is a shame to have spent all this time wasting what once might have been a functioning mind!

  7. Puzzle — 3:47 Good thing there was not something to save from your rapacious jaws Puddy Tat!

Vox — Drumpf: “I didn’t know any of these women.  These women … I think they want either fame or her [Clinton] campaign to win.”  So many things come back to Clinton.  I wonder if this same declaration comes back to Summer Zervos too?  To me, there is no doubt that Drumpf is a sexual predator in addition to the liar we all know he is.  It is heartening to know that even if the ladies do not win in court, they could still be responsible for putting nails in his coffin.

Media Matters — If white men, as Carlson says, are oppressed, perhaps we should deny them viagra and take their voting rights away . . . oh and take their ability to own guns away.  I read some time ago that the chosen suicide weapon for many men is a gun.  Like Lona, I had a good laugh over this one.  Tucker Carlson is an idiot!

Courier Journal — Republicans at work!

“Because the abruptly called meeting was held in a small legislative conference room, security staff barred members of the public and closed the door once the room had filled, further angering teachers who were shut out.”

Inadequate time to review the measures and tagged onto another unrelated bill.  This should be illegal, but then that’s how Republicans operate!

I’m concerned that what we’re doing is illegal…” said Rep. Jim Wayne, D-Louisville. “We need an actuarial analysis. There is no actuarial analysis … We have a 291-page document put before us without any input whatsoever from the stakeholders.”

Come November 2018, eradicate the Republican plague!

Cartoon — The above vomiting smiley applies to Rand Paul also!!!

Glad you had some nice weather so you could get out!  Sorry I did not get to post on Thursday.  We celebrated the Seder (Jewish Passover) at church on Thursday.  I made Tzimmes which is sweet potatoes, carrots and prunes on Thursday afternoon which put me in a lot of pain in my ankles from standing so much.  Then off to church for the Seder and a traditional Jewish Passover dinner.  I was so tired and sore that I rested Friday for much of the day.  I gave the leftovers of my Tzimmes to my table family as their kids really enjoyed it.  It has brown sugar and honey in it so I really paid for trying it.  Everything is back to normal today though.  To those who celebrate Easter, have a Happy and Blessed Easter.  For those who don’t, have a good time with family and friends this long weekend.  BTW, 20 March was the Persian New Year so to all my Persian friends, current and future, Sol nos Mobark (Happy New Year!) سال نو مبارک

  8. Thanks all.  Pooped hugs! 23
