I may or may not be posting more than a Personal Update tomorrow. I have an an appointment for Physical Terrorism with Courtney, but it’s cold enough to freeze the dingles off a brass puddy tat., and Portland is under a Winter Storm Warning with several inches of snow forecast tonight. If TriMet lift goes onto emergency service only, or if the snow is too deep for me to safely navigate to the lift bus, I’ll have cancel the appointment and will post as normal.

From The New Yorker: In what Donald Trump’s transition-team members are calling a further example of international coöperation, Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to receive daily U.S. intelligence briefings in the place of the President-elect.
Trump, who had earlier decided that he did not need the briefings and had assigned Vice-President-elect Mike Pence to receive them, said on Tuesday that Putin was a “much better choice.”
“No offense to Mike, but Vladimir Putin is just a terrific, terrific guy to do this,” he said. “He knows all the players.”

The first two short takes are the two sides of a single coin. I may have already said this … but it seems to me the most critical thing right now is getting the Electoral College properly briefed. Yes, it's treason.
YT/TYT – This and his "Dancing with the Stars" gig are making everybody laugh – but they are also forgetting that a big chunk of the DOE's duties is maintaining our nuclear warheads in working condition. Yes, that comes under DOE. YT: ugh! Re: Perry. Here in Texas, we're a leading oil-producing state, he's skeptical about climate change, advocated for lighter regulation on fossil fuel industry, and will have access to the nuclear codes. I hope that these nominations (Trump's choices) can be stopped and blocked. RESIST!!

Youtube — Drumpf is like a kite in the wind, surging and dipping, twisting with the wind, changing directions constantly. Drumpf will, if he makes it to the WH, will likely exit by the back door as a result of treasonous acts. I read today that a Colorado judge has ordered ALL Colorado electors to vote for Clinton on the 19th. Further, Prof Lawrence Lessig has commented that approximately 20 electors have likely turned to vote anti-Drumpf so more are needed. I like that picture of Drumpf because he looks like the dummkopf that he truly is!

Like you, we will be on a winter warning . It is -10 C (14 F) right now and it will be cold for the rest of the week. We are scheduled for another snow dump on the weekend. We have not had snow for a number of years so this is quite the situation for some.

Let's hope the Winter Storm Warning is too pessimistic a forecast and you and George get to have some fun with Courtney, and all with reasonable travel times. If the travel times are awful, my sympathies; if you don't get out for a cold nose and a workout, I look forward to your post, TomCat.
