I’m about to go to a medical appointment over my double vision.  I’ll publish this after I return.  In last nights masdebate, Trump was deplorable.  No fact passed his lips.  However, this was more even than the last, because Hillary performed poorly.

The doctor said that she thinks I’ll need surgery, but wants to be the last thing done, after cataract surgery and after surgery to remove the droop from my eyelids.  In the meantime, she fitted my old glasses with a prism that partially corrects the double vision at short range, as long as I’m looking straight ahead.

Today’s took me 2:49 (average 7:09).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

  1. Sorry to hear of your ongoing saga with your vision.  Is this about what you had anticipated – or is it out of the blue?

Are the prisms for your glasses similar to the Fresnel prism ones Hillary wore?  [scroll down for a good view of them]

    • They look like them, but it's only on one side.  Then I look through the lends at a distance from my eye, xcnd rotate the glasses, the image changes location and rotation.

  2. 5:08 (7:09) Perhaps some of those solving thought they were trying to read "Finnegan's Wake."

Sorry about the eyes.  Glad there is a temporary worksaround, hope it helps.  Also sorry about the religious agony.  Not a good day.

Cartoon – Let alone living troops and veterans (dead ones cost less).

  3. I think she was too demure a bit, but did her homework, in being prepared  with talking about Syria,  ObamaCare, and other areas she has experience in. DT seemed to control the debate sometimes, which I thought was concerning, and she didn't interrupt him.  But…I'm proud of her not taking the bait that he made to her directly, saying that she has 'hate in her heart'. She remained calm throughout, and didn't condescend like he did. He acted like a big bully on the playground, and at times, I thought he was stalking her. That was creepy. She has more BaLlS than I ever would, considering she went in to a snake pit.
Personally, I'd go HRC 2 DT 0. Can't believe there's another one too. Oct. 19th. (wears me out). lol.

Oh No!!! Shame to read about your eyes, and the surgery needed to fix them. Readjusting your old glasses may help when you get used to them, I hope. Sorry about your guys. I feel your pain. Get some rest, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

  4. Sorry about your eyes, as well.

I thought Hillary's performance was mixed last night, but I was able to watch the entire thing.  However, her Abe Lincoln excuse was so blatantly out of left field, c'mon!  Rumpy's pacing the stage was imbecilic.  Talk about his negotiating capacity, if he were a poker player, I expect people would kick and shove to get into the game, his face is soooo readable, and ugly, besides.  Oh, did I infer HE may not be a 10?  I have had trouble understanding how people used to think Kissinger was sexy, but he did hold some real power, an aphrodesiac…but this putz?

  5. And I'm going to take a bit of difference from your "Hillary performed poorly".

To borrow a football analogy, I think Hillary is just running out the clock.

She realizes she has a comfortable margin, and rather than take a chance on a fumble or interception – and rather than try to land a "knockout punch" –  she just wants to put the "V" in her (our) column.

I'll be very – VERY – happy with that!

    • I think you are on to something, I hope.

    • Let's hope though that she doesn't send a message of complacency to the Dem voters.  That would be a BIG mistake.  Now is not the time to make any mistakes.

    • I didn't see it, but the consensus of those who did (whom I have read) was that she was giving him enough rope to hang himself.  From an old broad's standpoint, Drumpf's "performance" added up to a giant trigger One has to be very careful what one says and does in that type of situation.  She probably would have like to kick him where it would have done the most good, but that would not have been smart.

    • I would agree that she won the debate, but I thought she let Trump get away with too much.  Like Lynn, I was concerned that it might come across as overconficence, when she needs to be stoking voters' sense of urgency.

  6. I thought Hillary handled it well, especially since Trump kept interrupting her and saying vile things to her. She has a lot of self control and that is very important for a leader.  The news media didn't rate so well with me, giving Trump so much credit for being a rude bully who managed not to make any lewd remarks.  This will go down as one of the worst, if not the worst, political campaign in our country.

I am so sorry you are facing more surgery, you amaze me at how well you handle so much.

  7. 3:25  Another bridge that was a little too far.

Cartoon — . . . or vets!  Dead troops are cheaper.

Prayers for you from the 4 of us.  Very sorry to hear of additional problems with your eyes.  You don't need that at all.

    Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

  8. I hope the prism sorts your double vision sight problems until the cataracts have been removed. Having your eyes checked out for the cataract surgery was what started this whole new path of medical interventions, and it seems to make sense to return to the original sequence of procedures if possible. The droopy eyelids sound like a new "feature", TomCat. Were they caused by the cancer surgery or are they more of the normal-sagging-because-of-age kind? Anyway, you've got a lot of bother "to look forward to" in the coming month which will surely test your patience. But I'm sure it'll all be worth it, so hang on in there my feline friend.

  9. Thanks everyone and thanks for your concern about my eyes.  I already knew I had surgeries coming for cataracts and eyelids, and I had anticicipated that this would be the outcome.of the visit.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
