  1. A little snow sure looks good right now, doesn't it, TC?  Suffering along with you but this, too, shall pass.  Take the day to be totally lazy!!

  2. Take as long as you need, and just rest.

Stay hydrated. Thankfully, you don't live here in Texas, where it's hot as Hades!

Do take good care, nap, and take good care. Thanks, Tom.

  3. A very wise choice, my friend.

Taking good care of yourself should be your #1 goal – and sounds like it is!

  4. The Buddha said, "Treat one's self, and others, with loving kindness."  Do it for you!

Picture yourself on that lake, just floating in the shade.

  5. 4:35  Stone bell tower, hmmm?  Where's the bell?

You just had two crazy days in crazy hot weather.  No wonder you're enervated.  I second the advice to stay hydrated.

Cartoon – Isn't THAT the truth!  They certainly are doing their best!  (The Republican) Congress now has a scheme to sell off ALL public lands to private bidders (read corporations, and not necessarily even American corporations.)

    • Petitions signed. Thx, Joanne.

We must protect our public lands and not allow the sale of them to private corporations who want to pollute and destroy them in their quest for monetary profits and greed. Once the corporations do their exploitations of our public lands, they are gone forever!

  6. If anyone should "stay down", it should be Drumpf and the people in these three organizations: GOP/TP/Freedom Caucus, not you, TC.

Hot here too and humidity is above average. May set a new high temp record.
We're not in Hades… yet. lol.

  7. 3:15  Try eating that Puddy Tat!  It will give you one big case of indigestion at the very least.

Thanks for the petitions JD.  Signed.

Cartoon — The critical word — "yet".  If they are not kicked to the curb in the November election, there's a good chance there won't be anything left for future generations.

Stay hydrated  Puddy Tat.  I have already had 2 litres of water, working on my third.  It is 30 C (86 F) with 50% humidity.  Of course the temperature was lower earlier but the humidity was at 88%.  I have stayed low today reading online.  To do anything else just bags me and kicks up my asthma.  Take care.

  8. No worries, TomCat, you can stay low and as cool as possible for as long as you like. Heat combined with humidity is very hard to combat, so drinking plenty of cold water and some ice cubes in a towel to cool your head and neck is probably the most you can do in lieu of a cold shower. Taking yourself off line during the peak heat may also help as computers and accessories generate quite a bit of heat too. That may be a good time to enjoy one of the Aussie naps.

  9. Thanks all!  Hugs!!  You could tell I was out of it, when I couldn't even spell "Updates"
