Yesterday I was so tired that I took a nap in the morning, took A nap in the afternoon. and took a nap in the evening.  I’m getting a late start today, because Julie was here.  After I was shined and refined to puddy perfection, I helped her with a few things on the computer and took her out for lunch from a neighborhood food cart.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:06 (average 4:33).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From American Bridge PAC: From birtherism to 9/11-trutherism, and a long-held conviction that global warming is “a hoax,” Donald Trump has for years dabbled in widely-debunked and discredited conspiracy theories.

Except for the 9/11 Truther BS, his nut-job theories are standard Republican Party line.

From Daily Kos: From The Daily Mail:

Bookings at Trump Hotels have plummeted by more than half since The Donald launched his controversial presidential campaign.

While Trump’s own popularity among his voters did not waver as he strode towards the Republican nomination, the hotel arm of his empire has taken a hit, according to data from travel firm Hipmunk.

Reservations at his hotel collection have fallen by 59 per cent year-on-year as their market share has crumbled.

I could not be more pleased that people are protesting against Rump Dump with their wallets.

From Media Matters: In a New York magazine article, Gabriel Sherman reported that Rupert Murdoch, executive co-chairman of Fox News’ parent company, “has signaled he plans to fully back Trump in the general election against Hillary Clinton” in “a sharp reversal from the hostile view he held over much of the past year.”

I told you that the Republican Reichsministry of Propaganda would goose-step behind whomever the Reich picked as Fuhrer.

  1. Murdoch must be drooling and Trump supposedly sold his name and doesn't actually have major ownership of the hotels so probably doesn't mind.

  2. Using government equipment for personal business is considered defrauding the government and is a felony.  Government employees sign documents acknowledging that and that if they violate that rule they can expect to be prosecuted.

It does not meet the definition of a conspiracy theory now and the IG's report identifies several probable felonies (Obama appointed the IG).

  3. 4:22  Not only a dawg, but porcelain at that.  Don't break a tooth.

AmBridge – What we believe about what others are doing is so revealing of who we are, isn't it?

DKos – Yes.  Isn't this nice.

Media Matters – I'm afraid most of uc were expecting that.  Murdick and Drumpf are two peas in a pod anyway.

  4. "All I know is what's on the internet" shows you how smart Rump Dump Drumpf is! If he can only go by what is in the internet, he's betting on a losing horse! How can he base his decisions solely on what he gets off the internet? There are so many other ways to get information! Like "talking to REAL people" might be something he would want to try! Or opening a book! Geez, Louise! That's all they could get for a candidate??! And most,if not ALL his info is bogus!!!

So glad that the bookings at his hotels are tanking!!! That shows how much people dislike his being a candidate!!!

Well, Murdoch has thrown his hat in the ring, via Rump Dump!!! He is just more backing for the RepukkklicanTs!!! Too bad that they don't give that money to the government! Oh, yeah! They could pay higher taxes!!! That would ease the budget woes!!!

Buffed and shined up like a new penny, TC! I gotta do that myself today! Since I spend 95% of my time in bed, it's kinda hard to get around to that stuff every day. Glad you got a fantastic helper! I gotta get me one of those!!! Watching the game tonight. I hope the Thunder close out the series tonight, but I don't think it will!  🙂

  5. ABPac: And people listen to this??? C'mon!!

    DK: YAY!!!

    MM: Figured as much. ugh!!

Sounds like you had a great day! Relax some more, and take it easy.

Here in my town, some houses are flooded from the storm we had, we had between 7-10 inches of rain, some roads are broken in half. My next door neighbors house was flooded, and the new flooring is bubbled now. 5K worth of damage, sadly. A sheriff's patrol car was found 1/2 a lot away from the driveway he parked it at. My front porch got flooded, but nothing compared to others.

Have a great evening, take care, and Thanks, Tom

    • So sorry to hear this Pat.  Our previous home was flooded in 2004, never want to go through that again.

    • Pat, I saure hope that you and your neighbors catch a break.  The weather there sounds almost as bad as the government.

  6. Sometimes, we just have to take those naps, they are mandatory at our age.

American Bridge Pac:  Glad this had subtitles since my sound is still not working.  Reading it made me ill enough, hearing it would make me barf.

Daily Kos:  That is one thing he and the Republicans understand, if it hits their wallets.  Glad to hear there are some repercussions to his horrible lies.

Media Matters:  No big surprise, is it?

Cartoon:  A great day for the downtrodden and innocent victims of our world.

  7. Puzzle — 5:45 for a lame dog on my laptop w/o mouse.

American Bridge PAC — Truly amazing what some people believe!  Even worse though is that there is a presidential candidate that is manufacturing some of this BS!

Daily Kos — I read this earlier today and started doing cartwheels, I was so happy!  Although Drumpf may not actually own all the properties that hold his name, he will likely have a revenue stream coming from them based on property revenues.  Revenues down, Drumpf's income down.  Oh yeah!!!

Media Matters — No original thought from Faux Noise aka the Republican Reichsministry of Propagana.

Cartoon — I have been a supporter of AI for years.  They do good work!

It is so important to have good help.  Glad that Julie is the Puddy's meow!

  8. Your Julie sounds like a treasure and she's obviously good company too, so you're doing the right thing by taking good care of her too and making or buying her lunch every now and again. Sharing a meal with someone is so much more enjoyable than eating on your own, isn't it, even if there's a dawg thrown in the equation too.

ABP: Of course we think Drumpf is spouting absolute nonsense with all his conspiracy theories which he throws in to blacken somebody's (Cruz, Obama, Clinton) or some group's (Muslims, Democrats, sane people) reputation, but this is what his supporters have been fed by decades of Republican "leadership" and this is exactly what the want to hear. And that suits Herr Drumpf just fine; he's a street fighter who probably has done all his business deals by slandering and intimidating the competition.

DK: If Drumpf makes it to the White House, he couldn't care less about falling reservation rates at this point in time, being the president is the best advertisement there is even if he will have to take his name of his products and put the accounts on someone else's name, like his son-in-laws (?). So here's another reason not to let him win and hurt him both in his pride and his wallet.

MM: How predictable these rich guys are. Adelson tells Drumpf he'll donate $100 million to his campaign, and Drumpf of course made this widely known, so Murdoch now has to back him too to keep up with Adelson. None of the 1% have qualms about turning on their heels and now endorsing Drumpf after vilifying him only months ago, because they don't really care who's in the White House as long as it's a Republican sounding candidate whom they think they can influence and tell what to do because they've bought  him a presidency.

Cartoon: After 55 years still very necessary, perhaps even more than before.

  9. Thanks all!  Hugs!!
