It looks like I’ll have another busy day, as both OT and PT are coming this afternoon.   I took it easy this morning and only made two laps.

Short Takes:

From YouTube: Merkley decries Republican efforts to slip Wall St. favors into must-pass spending bills

Oregon leads the way! “Must-pass” spending bill s must not pass, until Republican attempts to enable Banksters to prey on YOU are removed.

From Daily Kos: Since the map went live, Oregon has gone green, so to speak, on this map. And so has Colorado. You red states? Keep on cringing and cowering.

1120DaeshStates

I had no doubt that Oregon would go green and refuse to surrender to the Daesh and their helpers to spread terror, the Republican Party.

From Media Matters: O’Reilly Once Said Terror Attack Would Get Bush Reelected, Now Says It Would Tarnish Obama As Worst U.S. President.

Barf Bag Alert!!

Is there any question as to why I call him O’Lielly? He’s a senior propagandist for the Republican Reichsministry of propaganda, Faux Noise!

  1. You Tube – Good for Merkley, even though expected.

DKos – I had faith in Oregon and in Colorado.  Hickenlooper may not be the most progressive Democrat on the block, but he is shrewd enough to know it is not his call anyway.

Media Matters – And O'Reilly is right on one thing – and that is that Daesh is really, really good at getting Republicans elected.  Pretty well everyone in the Middle East is really, really good at getting Republicans elected here.  With basic reverse psychology.  Grrrrr.  BTW, I assume you noticed Billo was even making Ed Henry uncomfortable.

Cartoon – Yes, for what it was worth.

  2. Illinois' billionaire RepubliCON Gov. Rauner bought into the Reich-wing scare-mongering on IS. The media is worse than useless on terrorism – they lavish attention on the gory details, but there's NO balance of explaining the refugees' side of things. Also, the media doesn't bring in Real Specialists (like refugee lawyers, etc.) – just the usual paid "experts" who may or may NOT be any kind of expert at all!

  3. One thing to watch is the get out of jail free for corporate criminals aspects included in the bipartisan criminal justice reform bill…much like Merkeley's warnings.

Proud of CA's leadership shown on the map.

    Yup==double standards Bill.

Would've been nice to have another piece of progress like Reagan championed this anniversary.

  4. O'Reilly is a bombastic bufoon, and it is a strike against inteligence in the U.S that he has so many fans,  At the same time, the news fronm the Texas School Board book committee's rjrcting of fact checking is just the kind of thing that fosters idiocy, here.

  5. Youtube:  I wish we had 99 more Senators like Merkley!  The banks need to be corralled not given  a free pass to hoodwink the American people again.

Daily Kos:  Our present governor, whose term is expiring, would have kept Ky. green. You all know that I am very unhappy to have a Republican governor.  A petition is circulating to have the votes checked since Bevins mysteriously gained 15 points overnight.  I hope it succeeds and is not buried somewhere in Frankfort.

Media Matters:  Barf bag alerts are always needed for OReilly.   He wants boots on the ground, but they won't be his boots.  you can count on that.

Cartoon:  Yes they passed the bill and then they listened to the NRA.

  6. After a strenuous day of exercising and chasing the purdy nurses it's very good to take it easy for a day and build your strength up, TomCat. Overdoing it may do you more harm than good, and the ladies need a break too for goodness sake.

YouTube: You have reason to be very proud of your senator Merkley, TomCat! He's Oregon's own Bernie Sanders, it seems. Merkely is right of course, those riders are poison and their makers should be in prison for undermining America's democratic process to benefit the criminal bankers on Wall Street at the expense of America's middle class. Those lawmakers are in cahoots with these bankers, it's should be vcalled what it is: organized crime.

Daily Kos: It's good to see that some states have the balls to take in the Syrian refugees that have been fleeing the Da'esh for months, even years under horrible circumstances. It's the humanitarian thing to do, it's what everyone should do. But given the coloring of this map, the few green states on it, the world just has gotten a little colder. This must be the way Republicans prefer to fight global warming, not understanding that ice-cold hearts only warm up this planet even further.

Media Matters: I don't need barf bags this time, I need ice to put on top of my head to cool of before I burst a vessel there, I'm so mad. When is America getting through it's thick scull that the Paris terrorists were French and French-Belgian, they were HOME GROWN, they were indoctrinated by Da'esh through the internet, with only a few of them actually trained in Syria some years ago. This was an attack directed at France by French terrorists, it had nothing to do with America, but from the first moment the Republicans have tried to make it about the US and to hell with France. And it certainly has nothing to do with Obama and how GOOD a president he is, nor with Hillary as a Democratic candidate for the presidency.
There's one thing I do agree with Faux News, but certainly for their reasons, and that it's not a good idea to give more weapons to the Syrian Rebels. The weapons that were given before have mostly ended up in the hands of Da'esh, making them only stronger: This video may be interesting in that respect, though it may be impossible to view from America or may have been taken off by now: How America created ISIS

  7. Thanks all.  Very tired.  Hugs!
