After sleeping about four hours last night, a nurse awakened me to see if I needed a pain med.  Me: “5 minutes ago, I didn’t, but I sure do now!”  The pain from the skin graft donor site is still quite severe.  I spent the day alternating between working on the computer, and being a feline pincushion.  I purchased and installed Paint Shop Pro V8.  I was using V5, so the learning curve for me is steep, like learning it from scratch.  The install, including extras, was almost 400 MB.  I also installed Short Keys Lite, a keyboard macro tool I use to store and insert phrases I use frequently, such as target=”_blank” and [emphasis added].

I did stream the Democratic Forum last night on the computer.  I can summarize it in two words:

Bernie Won!!!

There was just no doubt about it.  Rachel was a tough moderator, but she treated all three candidates equally.

Hugs until tomorrow!!

  1. the republicans should ask Rachel to moderate one of their debates… but I know that they wouldn't dare. Take care. At least she didn't wake you to ask if you wanted a sleeping pill.

    • The GOP/TP/Koch Party people, candidates are afraid of Rachel Maddow! lol.

    • Funny you should say that Rachel should moderate a GOP debate. They were talking about that on Meet The Press this AM and everyone thought it an excellent idea. Even if they wouldn't allow her to because she is so progressive, they thought the format was the best seen so far and even suggested alternating with both parties.

      • I saw that, too, on MTP – and was pleasantly surprised!

Maddow got kudos across the board for her stellar job.

    • When Rachel has had Republicans on her show, she has always given them far more respect than they returned.

  2. Thanks for all the bottom lines TC!  Hope the pain subsides soon.

O'Malley's team also feel that may have been the strongest 20 minutes of his campaign thus far.  I'm thinking he may be VP material for the other two in how he balances Bernie as a party insider and as better on most progressive issues than Hillary for crafting policies and plans.

  3. Thanks for watching so I didn't have to.  It really doesn't matter to me who it is in these forums/debates; I just am miserable watching.  I don't know why.  I used to watch Bill Moters – of course that was one on one or two at most, and if there were two, they were cooperating, not competing.  Maybe it's competition I can't stand.  That would at least make sense.  In a way.

  4. You sound like you are very busy working on your computer. Sorry to read that you are still in pain, hope that it subsides, and that you get well.

I missed it. Glad that Bernie won.

Rest and take care, TC, thanks JL for posting.

  5. I am of the opinion that Bernie aced it too!

  6. I think the REAL WINNERS were the American people.  We finally got to see how adults should discuss the issues.

I'm still looking for a transcript or a video w/ CC – but for those who want to view it in it's entirety, here's a link:

  7. Sorry to hear you're still in so much pain from the skin graft, TomCat. I won't go into details, but if it's done the way I think it's done, it leaves you with an area with all nerve endings exposed, so extremely sensitive to touch, temperature and the like and therefor very painful indeed. On the other hand, like scrapes you get from falling, it heals well and quickly with a lot of skin regenerating itself. So hold on, grind your teeth as much as a cat can, lay back and think of Republicans.
